The O.C.

I'm just crying so much form the last epsidoe. It was amazing. I kept wishing it wouldn't end.

I haven't watched half of this season and last night I was on TV.com and went to "one's to watch" where it tells you what episodes you should see tonight and it totally spoiled me.

It was like, "After the devasting earthquake the Cohen's have to decide on if they should rebuild or not. Seth and Ryan accept the fact that they are going to school on different sides of the country, Julie is getting married (again) and Kristin is carrying a new Cohen...."

Geez thanks for summing up EVERYTHING before I got to see it. I hope along with that the following things happened: Taylor and Ryan broke up because she is the anti-Marissa. Sorry he was in love with that girl and Taylor represents everything that Marissa wasn't. It makes no sense. Sorry but he really needs a "damsel in distress". Seth and Summer called off that ridculous wedding and maybe they even broke up. I never really liked them together, I mean they were cute and all but NO. We finally found out the REAL paternity of Teresa's baby. A few seasons ago the writers said "You haven't seen the last of Teresa or her baby...we will come back to that storyline when you least expect it". Did they expect to kill of Marissa and in turn kill off the TV show? Oh and I want Jimmy to come back and remarry Julie so that life can be good again. Oh and seriously, take Katylin and fix her. She's a screwed up kid.

Seems like everyone here has already seen it. If a mod wants to edit my post to put it in spoiler format I don't mind. Seems there is no spoiler tagging going on in the GA thread. Sorry if I spoiled it for you!

I was just teasing, it's not much of a spoiler anyhow, hence the fact that I ended up thinking my own post was pointless :flower:

i can't beleive it's over! i cried so much when it showed seth and summer getting married!

Does anyone have a link where I can watch season 1 and 2 online, as I only started watching the show at the begning of season 3, I would be so so greatful if anyone could help me :flower:

I guess that means I didn't get my wish of them breaking up. Damnit. I should stay away from this thread until I catch up on the episodes. Man, I wanted them to BREAK UP!!!

i didnt like he finale at all,it was so contrived and they were really pulling it all apart by putting too much into too little time, every single cliche they could have done, they did.
awful ending
and i hoped for some phenomenal music...nd then ta-dam JET! wt?!

I know it's pathetic, but I'm soo depressed that it's over. I keep listening to music from the OC. That's probably making it worse. I'm not crying or anything (yet) but I feel really empty  It's almost surreal- no more OC on Thursday nights?!

And if anyone's feeling nostalgic, some OC music to set the mood:
http://www.musicfromtheoc.com/weekly_mix_season4.html
http://www.wbr.com/ocplayer/

The last song played was "Life Is A Song" by Patrick Park.
"It's time to let go, of everything we used to know." Nooo I don't want to :judge:

I'm curious to hear, what was everyone's favourite song ever played on the OC? I need more music!

Amazing ending. It was so... perfect. You got to see how their lives are like a few years later. I started to cry when Summer took out the locket and inside was a picture of Marissa.
I just think Ben McKenzie doesn't get the credit he deserves.
I'm with you!
But the episode was really good though. Ryan finally got his happy ending.

I remember a mod telling me that I only have to put spoiler tags on when the episode hasn't aired throughout the US or something like that with east and west coast times... But yeah, the GA is sort of annoying since people who are living on the west coast can read everything else... before it's aired for them.

I haven't seen all of the final season yet so my opinon is only based on seasons 1 thru 4. It's hard to pick a favorite because there are so many and the OC has a really great way of picking the perfect song to suit the scene.

Great.I went to edit my post with the list of songs I liked and it lost my post because it was more than 10 minutes to compile my list.

Season One:
Hallelujah--Jeff Buckley. Ryan is leaving Newport. Marissa is standing at the endof her driveway waiting for Luke to pick her up. He looks sad as he looks at her who is looking at him. (Exact same scene and song is used in the finale of the first season).
White Flag -- Dido. Ryan escorts Marissa out when she debuts in society. Very cute scene.
Space -- Something Corporate. When Ryan finds Marissa passed out in the alley in TJ. He carries her in his arms she is wearing a white dress type thing. (Same thing in the season 3 finale but different song!)
Dice -- Finely Quay and Beth Orton. Ryan rushes up the stairs to try to get to Marissa before its midnight to share a New Years Kiss. Perfect moment.
Wonderwall--Ryan Adams. Teresa finds out shes preggers. Marissa finds out and puts everything together. She dumps Ryan when he gets back. :(
Maybe I'm Amazed--Jem *The OC edit verison is sooooooooo touching* Marissa tells Ryan "I want you to know that I understand why you have to do this but I wish you didn't," as she cries and cries. Its such a sad scene to watch.
And then once again, Jeff Buckley. As we have the same scene from "The Model Home".

Season 2:
Only one song sticks out in my mind.
Hide and Seek-- Imogen Heap. The song is played during Caleb's funeral and agains after Marissa shoots Trey to save Ryan's life. If I'm not mistaken I think the song even plays DURING the last bit of their fight.

Season 3.
Hide Another Mistake -- The 88. When Ryan sees Trey at the bus stop.
Gangsters and Thugs -- The Transplants. When Jimmy is getting the crap beat out of him by the guy who he borrowed money from.
Salvation -- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Ryan and Marissa make love for the first time in some hut.
Baby Blue -- All Sad Girls Are Beautiful. When Marissa tells her father goodbye and if he is leaving he better be leaving for good because she can't handle the ups and downs with him and Julie.
Wasted --Black Flag. Johnny jumps. Sadness for some, Joy for me.
Friends -- Chris Holmes. The collage of their graduation.
Speeding Cards-- Imogen Heap. Marissa tells Ryan that shes leaving to go work on a boat with Jimmy and she'd like him to take her to the airport. "It only makes sense, I was the first person you saw when you got here, its only fitting you be the last person I see before I leave."
Chapters -- Appogee. The four of the kids go back to the Model Home and share a day of fun in the sun before saying their goodbyes.
Hallelujah--Imogen Heap. Marissa dies in Ryan's arms. Very sad scene. Very fitting song. Throw back to "The Escape" with Ryan carrying her from the wreckage and the white thing she is wearing (white flowy top I think) and the song from the season 1 finale but by a different group.

Ummm yeah, I was a REAL huge fan of the show until they killed off Marissa. Its just hard, you kill off my favorite character I find it hard to watch the show.

^^ Ohhh yes, many of those are my favourite songs! And agree on the Marissa thing... even though people called her "the bot" or whatever... The show was very centered around her, it feels so wrong that they killed her off. But really, give season 4 a try, it's great (except for the stupid earthquake  sooooooo uncalled for ) !!!

I can't believe it's over. Despite the last part of the finale... I need more closure, it just seemed to fake and thrown all together. And uh, WAY too many clichés....

Aww I liked the finale. Bullit is the best guest star ever. I loved the Jose Gonzalez songs they used I think maybe last season. I sought his stuff out after that and even went to see him live. Check it out, especially if you enjoy Nick Drake and things of that ilk

I know I loved Marissa so much, she was the best character . I just re-watched the finale of season 3 and I was in floods of tears at Marissa telling summer shes leaving, the graduation, the Cooper's saying goodbye, the 4 at the re built model home and of course Marissa dieing  Yes I'm sad I know :p

Season 4 finale was so good, it had me crying of course, especially the locket part it was so cute. I'm still hoping that magically another network will pick it up. I just have a couple of questions though, as because I didnt watch the show from season 1 I'm a bit confused about some parts, did Ryan sleep with Teresa when he was with Marrissa? and what happend between that Oliver boy and Marissa,? Thanks :flower:

^ he slept with her when they were on a break, a short break.

Oliver was a very disturbed boy, was stalking Marissa and wanted her. Ryan didn't trust him but Marissa had full faith in him. And then Oliver tries to kill her, leaving Ryan to say I told you so. And Oliver gets sent to psycho camp.

As far as I can remember, that's what happened. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong though.

so i just watched the final episode online and i am so depressed now! i cried at the end when they starting showing the future. it kind of reminded me of the end of Six Feet Under only happy. I cried at the end of that show too.

they have a new family photo on the fox website for the show!
