The Perfect Tee

Vanessa Bruno makes beautiful soft t-shirts, expensive (like 150$ish) but finding a solution to the quest for the perfect white tee might be worth it. Personally, I would rather save up a bit more and get one from The Row - but they're a lot less easy to find.

if you're a girl and like loose, drapey T's then i recommend this one from the urban outfitters men's department:

i love white t-shirts, but i get mine dirty pretty quickly so i'd rather buy several for cheap, than a single expensive one. this one's $18, semi-sheer, and drapes nicely.

i'm addicted to finding the perfect white tee, thanks for the suggestions everyone. i'll try UO.

i've completely stopped buying/wearing white t shirts...

better late than never...:p

thanks for the links melisande...

i love the sheer-ish v-neck white tees from urban outfitters...
they're usually 2 for something, so i get them 2 at a time...
if i want something a bit thicker, i love splendid t-shirts...
they are leaner and longer...perfect for work...

soft...i hear you on the grey t-shirts...
i'm currently obssessed with charcoal ones...

oh i'm all about grey too :D my perfect grey tee is from h&m, it's been through the mills and still going strong. another good un is my AA deep v one. i'm grey obsessed..

^ I purchased a dark blue and black in the deep v tees from AA... wish I would have gotten gray... that's next for my shopping cart...

I'm another fan of grey shirts, but only because I always manage to wreck my white ones in some way or another. They're so easy to stain!

my favorite tee's are jcrew. great fit, all cotton, and they have a good eye for color. I buy them a size larger so they drap instead of cling. check out the grey heather.

lucky- the j crew are just too fitted for my taste...even a size up..
:ninja:

*my fvourite grey t is an old j crew style...
i keep checking to see if they will do anything like it again...
v nk, narrow without being tight, hits just at the hip...
it's so perfect, but now it has holes, etc...

:lol::lol::lol:

I would say Petit Bateau makes perfect shirts... :woot:They're the right length, right softness, right thickness, right shade, right sleeve length (no fat arms!), right fit (not too tight or loose) and right price! Especially compared to other tees that go for 100 dollars!

I love Petit Bateau.

^ Yes! :woot: They have a new line of shirts now that are especially thin and sheer and so soft.

so funny, I must have the same jcrew ones, they are slightly cropped, boxy and a light weight but not tissue...with the holes to boot. :flower:

for the guys:

Skater Tees. they're plain perfection. i love ALL of mine. they stay in shape for ever and, given you choose the right brand, super soft. my personal favorites are from éS. i just love them.

Can anybody recommend a style by Kain? They're pretty but all look big (they're one-size) so I'm wondering which styles work.

Plain tees/singlets to wear under timeless cardigans

I am looking to buy tees and singlets to wear under my timeless cardigans. I will be travelling around California and will be visiting NYC for a week. Would love to hear suggestions for both affordable and/or long lasting but timeless singlets and tees to wear under cardigans
