The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

After hearing the description of the denim leggings, I really, really want to see them.
Denim leggings sound terrible, but then I should have known the row wouldnt make something tacky, and it would end up amazing!!

I still haven't seen anything remarkable about this line save the price tag. No t-shirt is worth $250.

The denim leggings are great, if you can find them just make sure you go just right or a bit smaller on the fit as they wear nicely and tend to stretch out a little after a few wears. We sold out of ours...they went quickly!

are those things above meant to be the denim leggings? for some reason i imagined blue denim? how weird

morriseel,
i am also selling out slowly!!
i will have to post pics of them later today.
also got in my final delivery so all is in now. will try and post some pics :)

oh nice leyla! can't wait for the pictures :D
the denim leggings sounds perfect, how much for them?

I would say read this thread then if you want to understand why there is such a high price. It's a very exclusive line and there aren't many pieces that are made and the Olsen's are using couture techniques to construct their line of basics and are using vintage cotton and cashmere as fabric plus the fit is great... trust me after factoring all of that in it is worth the $250.00

weren't they stretchy though? When I touched them they were super stretch. And isn't there a permanent crease down the front? At least that's how I'm remembering them.....which might be slightly embellished

oh yes, they were very stretchy...
if you've ever seen j brand's skinny jeans, they're super stretchy and skinny, these are like that...

sill...they're $345...

Can someone tell me the fabric content of the leggings in question?

I really want to buy something from this line but I don't know what. I've only found 1 look book from those MK&A fansites and that's it so I really don't know what all the stuff looks like. I have no choice but to call and order from Barney's because I don't have one where I live so seeing them in person is out of the question. What do you guys suggest? Start off with the "T-Shirt"? That's the only thing I know about other than the leather leggings, green dress., and a sheer sweater I think.

plisskin, here are all of the items by the row that i have seen. i know there are more, but this is all i remember. again, i am not listing all of the available colors and fabrics, only the ones that i've seen :) i included pics if they were online.

I do like all these pieces and I think the lookbook is amazing! However, I do think people are getting perhaps a bit too praiseworthy about things like denim leggings and white t-shirts-alexander wang already did denim leggings and the white t-shirts are very similar to the Mark & Estel ones the twins used to wear before they created their own. Granted, the clothes are very beautiful but I don't think you can say Kate Moss or Topshop or whoever copied them because it is not the most innovative idea in the world to produce a soft, sheer t-shirt. Not that it stops me from wanting one, I just see no problem with 'rip-offs' as the Row is not wholly original. Just my two cents! But I do think some people are criticising the line simply because it is by the Olsens, just as some people are loving it for the same reason. The clothes should speak for themselves and I think they do.

thanks so much for those pics maxfield!
i wish i lived nearby somewhere that sold the row... although i would probably be completely broke if i did.

Couldn't agree more

morriseel
you have a shop in australia that sells the row? what shop is it and where? do you take phone orders or orders online??!!!!!! please let me know :)

couldn't agree more - well said - sometims i think they get so much praise just cos of who they are and because we all love them.

I love their line but seriously they are a bit overpriced.
Now i'd like to see them design bags. It makes more sense splurging on such an accessory.
I agree too i think a lot of their pieces resemble what other designers work.
