Okay, so went to harvey nichols today and am now reporting back. Basically I can't say whether they had a lot of the collection or not as I don't have anything to compare it to but there was quite a bit there. It was mostly tops short sleeved and long sleeved black and white there was red as well. The price range for them was around £140, the sizes not sure if they were US or UK but were mostly 10's and 12's. But they didn't look true to size to me. Unfortunately there weren't any trousers or leggings which is what I wanted to buy. There was one pair which were skinny jeans pale blue wash quite nice. But apparently their leggings sold out very quickly and it was quite unexpected. There were two fur jackets one black and one grey both around £2400. And the rest were those dresses that have already been mentioned quite alaia and herve leger esque very body con eighties in black and red, they were like £650. Oh and there were these cardigans grey and black quite like Rick Owens they did look like the one Ashley has been wearing and they were like £600 as well.
So in the end I didn't buy anything I was rather gutted lol but I spoke to the sales assistant and he said that it had been selling quicker than they anticipated and didn't realise there would be such a high demand so have ordered some more. It's expected within the next few weeks and the leggings (not sure if it's the latex or leather ones..presuming it's the latex ones) will definitely be in the order.

i FINALLY saw the promo vid...and i like it! like their concept and design very much too. i've been wanting to drop by harvey nics for a look but have never found the time to do so...looks like i have to do so before every thing runs out...
 
Has anyone ordered any pieces over the phone? If so, from where, and were the salespeople accommodating? Also, has anyone seen the white fur fom the promo vid anywhere? I NEED that! :)
 
Rochasfille, some of my friends have ordered over the phone from Barneys and had no problems. I am going to Barneys today or tomorrow so I will report back if I see anything...

I'm not surprised by how well everything is selling...the stuff all looks very well made and is so chic. Especially in the video...it really sold the collection well...they have a hit on their hands, for sure...
 
joiedemode, please post a detailed report from Barneys ^_^ I'll be in NY in November and can't wait to see what Barneys has in stock.

the tees come in various materials so that is probably why. but 190$ does seem lower than i would think.... :unsure:
 
OMG sorry the tee is 215! I forgot :lol: silly me. I don't know why I keep thinking it is 195.

Anyway Velony I went to Barneys in Beverly Hills :( But they should have more in New York so I think you are okay. Anyway, I saw (keep in mind the selection is very small, only one or two of each piece. also they have moved from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor, by the co-op):

Tees in off white and black
Tank with 2 breast pockets in white
THE BLAZER!!! In black. But they only had a 4 and I believe it was a 6 or an 8...I need a 0 :( It was a little over $1200, can't remember the exact amount
Herve-type skirt in black
Long sleeve grey shirt
Long sleeve grey dress...just like the long sleeve tee but it looked like it should fall to about the knee.
Black trousers (I think...don't remember)

No leggings/jeans. That is all that I remember was there. Sorry I have the WORST memory!!! :lol:

I recently bought two from Barney's as a gift for someone, and they were actually $255 (in the really sheer silk/modal blend), and the polyester/cotton was $225. However, it is no secret that Barney's marks up more than the traditional 2.2. I have found this with other lines around the price point of the Row (they do the same with Phillip Lim). They try to maxamize profit on "hot" brands by marking the items up a few percentage points higher than suggested and EVERYWHERE else.
 
Random question, but does anyone recognize the two white chairs in the living room in the promo vid? I have been searching all over to find out who they were, but I haven't come up with much. I am fairly certain the sofa is the B&B Dadone, as I have been in love with that sofa since the age of like 12, and it is so going in the living room of my first home, but anyway, I just love those chairs with it, and basically, I need them. Thanks for any info. you can give. :flower:
 
i can't get over this line. something about it makes me like it a LOT but i'm not sure what. i keep watching the video....
 
I hope this won't be another one of those celebrity lines in which the great stuff is only reserved for the celebrity representing the line. DETEST that!
