The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

The 2nd one looks like the one at Barneys but black :) The only thing is when I looked at it the chain was already broken

Seriously.. I think that is terrible, I would expect for such a new line to have some sort of quality control.. I know it's just a chain, but still when I buy something I want it to be in new condition.

I really need that white blazer!!! Or that jacket.. I just need a white jacket!

others on the thread seem happy with the quality..i quite like the logo actually. it's simple and quiet.

Happy Guy, I'm not really concerned with what others on the thread thought of the logo, no offense (truly). I was speaking from the perspective of a designer, not as a fashion consumer, which I pointed to earlier.

I work in typography/design, and such a logo is not something I would immediately think of turning in as a comp to a client. Obviously Ms. Olsen was satisfied with it...but for me, it looks cheap and not well-thought out. I thought they could've pushed the boundary a bit (typography-wise) and perhaps could have done a bit more design exploration. This is my opinion...

Ultimately, as long as Ms. Olsen is satisfied with it, then clearly it was a design composition that fit her vision for the line.

LOL de l'Onans, the logo is at the end of the video...that's the only place I've seen it thus far. Perhaps someone else can find it online?

I haven't checked...

i went back to barneys last night, and they had 2 different t-shirts...
the viscose one was $195 and the silk/modal one was $225...
they only had the viscose one in black, and i liked the charcoal grey one...

they had the herve leger-like skirt too...it's $835...
it is just like his skirts...with 5-6 thick bands of stretchy fabric...

pic of the row logo is here...
you're right eclat...i also work in design, and the logo seems a bit lame really...
there's much more that could have been done typographically...
i do like the simple gold chain treatment though...

Hi, can you remember anything else? Or was that all they had? Thanks! :flower:

they had 2 of the longish tuxedo jackets, i think they were $1200...
they also had:
a pair of wide leg trousers
black skinny pants
white tank
charcoal hooded long sleeve top
charcoal v neck long sleeve top
the dolman sleeve dress jessica simpson wore (in the shiny fabric)
leather drape front jacket
same jacket in crepe

the row rack is very small...only one rack with about 10 pieces total...
the sa said they did order more pieces for holiday and spring/summer...

Ahhh thats why I think it is 195...I have the black viscose as well as the white modal. Thanks for telling us what they have kimair :)

which one do you like better?

i've been thinking about getting the black one...
i should have gotten that charcoal one when i saw it...

Sorry thesiren...we are talking about the same skirt but I went to Barneys too so I would not know :(

Kimair, I like them both...the modal is softer but they are both very soft and comfortable, I guess if you had to choose between one you should probably get the black because it is not as difficult to wear in terms of sheerness as the white one is :flower: I know I wanted the charcoal too!!!

Which is more transparent - the modal or the viscose? And how is the drape, comparatively?

Joiedemode,or perhaps someone else, can someone please give me the style number of the white modal/silk tee. It's usually written on the tag somewhere. I'll be forever thankful! :flower:

Cathy - I am sorry but I bought them like two months ago so I threw away the tags :(

Rochas - They both look pretty much the same on but I can not really compare the sheerness because I have white in modal and black in viscose.

So after hearing about the chains breaking, etc, do you think these tops are actually worth the money, as I am not sure whether to get one or not, as I am in the Uk, where they are even more expensive...however they sound so unbelievably comfortable!
How many wears do u think these tops will last, or are they pretty delicate??

does anyone know if the white fur is for sale yet, and where. or if there is anything like it around. i've even looked up furriers looking for something similar! i'm am obsessed, and cold!
