i dont think we were there at the same time.. i wish we were. i was so dead and actually hung out there for a while after my appointment finished having a little chit chat, a diet coke and a parliament.

now, with regards to that tee that looks like a mens one. no worries everyone, i didnt feel attacked . i just report what i was told. my personal opinion is that, like mentioned, the bigger the size the more unisex the style will get as long as we are talking about all the knits.

that green dress is THE best thing ive seen in a long time!!! did you get it in any other colour? i got the ivory too. (and the skirts of course)

I have a question about your job...

Do you all get invited to meet the designers like this to see their collections because you own a boutique...or do you have to make appointments with them? Just curious......it sounds like an exciting area to work in...

I think that the answer to the men's question is both yes and no. I think that, as Leyla said, they will not be producing a men's collection. I also believe, however, that they DID produce a few men's peices for Maxfield exclusively. My opinion is that they do not wish to really enter the menswear market yet, but when Maxfield approached having been loyal and big customers of the line, they agreed to make a few peices (basically altering the women's for size). I do not know why Maxfield would tell me this stuff was men's and loose my sale because a men's medium would be too big, they could have easily said that they had a smaller size. PLUS I just spoke with them yesterday and my SA said they will be getting more men's in the next month. This is all very confusing, but WWD did say that they would be doing a very small collection of men's for Maxfield so I am sure that is what this is. Maybe the official line is no men's until they see how it goes?

I'm going to start calling Maxfield for updates. Does anyone know if they will charge-send? Unfortunately I'm in NYC which right now is as good as Alabama.

^haha, I know I feel the same way. Everyone thinks the best stores are here, but really, I can never find what I want in any of the NY stores. Short answer: yes they charge send, but its either final sale or store credit only. They will do it on approval, but you must have it back to them within one day if you decide against it, if you use an American Express.
