Why does Browns have them more expensive?

Because the UK always gets ripped off! I think i may just have to wait til i go the US to buy the row, because it really is half the price!

Yeah I would not buy from the UK if I were you, the prices are CRAZY!!!

It is so annoying that everyone in the UK including me has to pay these higher prices if we want The Row! There is no way around it unless we are going to the US, because there is hardly ever anything on ebay!

^couldn't you do a phone order from a US store? I assume the shipping and tarrifs would still be less than the outrageous mark-up at Brown's. I wonder if Harvey Nichs is doing the same mark-up?

Possibly... I don't like doing orders from the US because of duties/taxes which they sometimes add on, and it can be a lot. And one doesn't know how much it will be until the item is delivered

I don't think browns is just marking it up, since in my experience, they don't usually mark things up (though i think sometimes they do). It's probably just the duties of importing it and all the usual stuff....

honestly I can't imagine it's that much cheaper at Harvey Nick's. The same thing happens with 3.1 Philip Lim which to me is a lot more expensive in the UK. Since the shirts aren't that much (I mean they aren't several hundred or thousands) I don't think any import fees would be that high.....

It varies on import fees i think, becasue i remember ordering a dress from an american site for about $150, and the shipping was about $25, which was quite good, but i got a bill in the post for the import duties which was about $80!! So, all in all, it turned out to be almsot the same price that the dress was in the UK!

I know, thats the thing - it's not just shipping, its the import duties as well Maybe I'll just have to wait until I go to the US

Greenlady, the skirt is $800 something and the blazer is $1200 something. Shirts are $195-$225.

greenlady, I know Barneys definitely will do an international phone order - just call them up and ask for the floor with The Row. I called up Holts in Canada and they also do them. You could try Maxields and Jeffrey Atlanta aswell. HTHs
