The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

from that picture it is very clear it is a wrong size and obviously fit on her.
contrary to what many think, i would recommend this dress to curvier/fuller ladies...
it needs to be snug in order to make those curves look good which will get an automatic lift with the help of the elastic ;)

I see the dress is too loose, it's a shame as I really love the dress, I would love to have seen it tighter and maybe even shorter.

imo her body shape just doesn't look good in this kind of dress, and would look even worse if it was tighter. this dress would probably look good on a model (curvy like lara stone or skinny like natasha poly), or on the olsen twins, or on nicole richie, but not on an average curvy woman... and her hair reminds me of those Christian Lacroix SS07 wigs, which looked good on the runway but definitely doesn't work for her...

I think Christina looks great...I also love her Anna Wintour hairstyle...LOL

It's nice to see bigger celebs wearing their clothes...at least the more fashion forward ones. I actually am surprised to hear it looked better on Ashley...she seems far more petite than Christina and I would think it would really hang on her and be too long.

she certainly looks like she popped right of Lacroix's runway. the clash of colour as well as cut of her does so. but love the mis of green and red!!! she looks kind of cute tho...

Hmm, I wonder if they just picked out illustrations that other "real" designers have done for them. Sorry, I don't believe they did the line without some massive assitance.

Well, it's certainly very 'inspired' by the kind of clothes they wear themselves from other designers... as some others have mentioned before, i am seeing a lot of rick owens in all of the drapey jerseys and knits as well as the leather jackets, the body concious alaia/hervé léger cocktail dressing as well as some hints of YSL with those long dinner jackets... I think it's cleverly-edited and merchandised for the kind of customer that would normally not go to some of these designers.

I went to the Maria Luisa store in Paris they only had 3 peices but said they would stock more and I checked the price tag for a grey knitted cardigan (I think) and it was 995 euros

maxfields

Hi, I usually don't post on here but I was in Maxfield's yesterday with my cousin and she bought both the white blazer with the satin looking pockets and collar and the white skirt with the horizontal segments? (sorry for the bad descriptions) so I thought I'd share. Both pieces are beautiful and if you are looking for their items, Maxfield in LA is a great place to find them. I remember seeing a few cardigans in grey and tees and tanks in grey, white and possibly black. They also had the white segment dress in white and black as well as the skirt version in white and black. My cousin got the last white blazer but i noticed they still had about 3 black blazers left. I didn't see any other kinds of jackets besides those. If anyone is wondering about prices and material, the skirt is 520 and is made of 78% wool, 7% elastic, 15 % polyamide and the inside lining is 100% polyester. The blazer is 1260 dollars and is 100% wool and inside lining is 100% viscose. :)

That sucks...Wasn't someone saying that Ashley was desperate to have their line stocked in that store? They could've sold out...

Are they stocked at Collette in Paris as well? I've never been so I don't know what kind of a shop it is but I do know it's one of their favorites and they always make time to stop there when they visit Paris.
