The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

doug,
i would also layer it and make sure the neckline is not too open ;)

zahir,
i would take the alpace grey coat without a doubt!

...okay, i got the shirt in the mail today.. though, even though it is a size large, it's pretty tight in general. for instance, the sleeves & chest area are very tight. however, the shirt is AMAZINGLY well made & the fabric is impeccable (sooo soft)! i also love the fact that it's long. anyway, do the short-sleeved t-shirts also fit like this...?

i think i may be selling this shirt on ebay (except i absolutely love it!) & get a gray or black one because the white is so sheer.

OR do you guys think that this is, in fact, wearable? i just don't know what to do! also, keep in mind [again] that i'm a 14-year-old boy..

additionally, (if i did keep it) am i supposed to cut the Row tag off or what?

THANKS SO MUCH!

doug, please don't cut the chain off- it's the best part! LOL! the shirts are meant to be layered- so if this is a bit snug on you it might be difficult for you to get anything under there. I'd resell it and buy a darker colored T that isn't so sheer. I was just looking at the Row today at barneys and blake in chicago and they do seem to have quite a few different t's in different weights and fabrics.

I bought the crew neck t- a nice basic for fall. the Row jackets were amazing! I'd love the reversable shearling...

I personally don't think that t-shirt looks tight on your but maybe it's just me? I think it would look weird if you layered a tanktop underneath it, but this piece would be great under a jacket or another shorter shirt/sweater/etc. And it looks to me like you could get a skinny t-shirt underneath. If you don't love it, then of course, re-list but it seems like such a basic piece, that it can be used a number of ways.

doug it looks good! i think you should layer it with necklaces and maybe a leather or plaid shirt. how much was it? i want one now :)

i agree with meg, it doesn't look too tight to me.
i think it would look great under a jacket, a waistcoat, a button-down shirt, etc.
if you feel too uncomfortable wearing it, though, then i'd sell it. no point in having something in your closet that you'll never wear.

I wouldn't mind the sheerness, it's still opaque enough to wear it by itself. The arm and chest volume is perfectly fine as far as I can tell from the pictures and it's a nice touch with the slightly lower neckline than a usual crewneck!

mercer and zahir, please credit your images or they will be deleted...

doug, you can cut off the paper tag, but only if you decide to keep it...
the chain stays on there permanently...
i personally think it looks great on you, i love the casualness of it...

doug,
looks good. for sure not too tight if you ask me. but if you find it too sheer i would either sell it or layer it as suggested !

has anyone seen the super rare scarf they did this winter? it only came in 3 colours and i thought most stockists would have them too but i havent seen them anywhere?

it is just plain knitted extra fine cashmere. similar texture to the Louis Vuitton sprouse scarf

oopsie, not sure how to edit my post but these pics are from barneys.com

US Weekly has a story this week saying that Ashley has taken full control of The Row and let MK go. I doubt there will be any drastic changes since it always seemed to be more Ashley's style to begin with...

that story has been floating around the gossip pages forever...
mk said in an interview in last month's instyle that the row was always more ashley's thing and e&j was her focus...

I've seen it around too but this is the first time US or People has touched it, the other rags don't have as good of sources.

ss09 is looking good :brows:
simple tanks are back with sheer tees. silk/linen crossback dresses (ivory)
tux blazer ( ) in navy
a draped cardigan in white (similar to the hanover cardi but diff. material)
leather motorcycle pants as usual but new colours such as camel, tobacco, ivory etc (camel is the best)
a sheer cotton voile blouse in white (same as the peter shirt but great material)
a navy silk knitted fitted dress (gorgeous) and the same as a skirt
a lace like short fitted dress

as for the tops, there is a beautiful sheer cashmere round neck top which comes in khaki (new colour of the season) and
a great elbow sleeve (fitted sleeve) cashmere tee

etc etc
