during high school she played drums for another band.. we have a talent show and her dad was helping them set up and people were shouting "johnny knoxville" at him bc they thought he looked like him.

^^thats what I had assumed. Either that or they go home to their depressing apartment in the Bronx, drink wine and watch a film everynight......(then again, I doubt the rest of NYC is as lame as I am.

I kind of agree and disagree. I think this thing and style is very much alive... But I think it is maybe too popular right now, getting your pic taken is not so special after all and this style is not unique anymore. Every friggin' club/party/hipster/scenester/etc. has a blog, homepage and whatnot. And everyone dresses like this. I see kids wearing the same stuff on the streets than if I'd go like 100 pages back on this topic

Way to true. All you have to do is log onto myspace ot walk down the street and everyone has this look.
