I liked the pilot, but I ADORED these books, reading them years ago and becoming a fan of this fandom before I even knew what a fandom was. I had hoped to see this series on screen and I as excited when I heard they were doing a show. But the show is almost NOTHING like the books. I will keep watching for awhile, but I hope they step it up.

I read the books a few years ago and I loved them... The TV show is different. I wasn't completely hooked after the first episode, but I'm interested enough to want to know what they are going to do next.

The lead actress is gorgeous! I kind of like this...they did a good job with casting a la Vampire Diaries. These CW shows live and die by who they cast and it looks like they did a decent job.

The pilot wasn't as cringe-worthy as I'd expected it to be but there were still way too many clichés and recycled ideas that it was awkward. I do like the lead actress but the evil girl (Phoebe Tonkin?) is not convincing at all and the boys aren't hot enough for my taste Not sure I'm going to watch the 2nd episode.

OMG I just realised that Thomas Dekker was that lead gay guy in that freakishly weirdly sexualised indie movie 'kaboom'.

I'll never look at him the same again.

I actually didn't find it so bad.
A few moments I really liked where when at the very beginning Cassie was trying to set the candle alight and that 'give me light' was quite beautiful.

This bit made me laugh sooo bad

Since this is the only episode, I don't feel so attached to characters but I really really felt bad for Faye when she killed that girl. Her teary eyes!

For some reason I'm really starting to like Nick. And also Adam's dad ^^ it's curious to see what their parents actually did so that most of them died.
Diana does nothing for me. She seems to be such an empty character, they should either give her some evil story line or just sacrifice her in a tragic accident.
