Fall clothing were all about severity, fiction and modernity. Hair were pulled back to a very tight and strict chignon to showcase dark and severe makeup.

awesome spotting, Kim. Browsing through the shows, I can definitely notice an abundance of the chignon.. I personally find it hard to pull off.. except in the Lanvin versions.. but other than that, I think it takes quite a soft group of features to pull it off and not look too aggresive. I don't know.

Awesome pics and great trend-spotting! I personally think this only works in real life if it's a little mussed up with loose ends, like the Givenchy pics and others. Otherwise it reminds me of my days as a bunhead ballet student who wore that tight neat bun in public in poor taste. (which I honestly kinda like but I just know you shouldn't do that). Not that I could now anyway, my hair is too short.
