The Supermodel Challenge Game Season 3!

Reviews

Caroline Winberg with Day—You chose such a wonderful contrast to demonstrate for caroline! Your avant garde picture shows me soo much- I rarely see caroline looking like that! Your second photo, is a bit boring…but in this case that’s what we need after the first! Lovely job

Julia Stegner with polka—Because of her hair and slightly strange body language, the first picture actually shows me teen, hippie, dressed up for a night out. I don’t see a full on formal thing here. Your second picture though is wonderful! The perfect comfy outfit and Julia looks great!

Doutzen Kroes withZG—You always choose such classy photos, and these two photos live up to that as well! The differences in body language, hair, clothes, and makeup is striking here..you made the perfect choices here! The only critique I have is that I wish the pictures stood out more..they both seem just a teensy bit boring.

Isabeli Fontana with J’ador—What beautiful photos! The first has so much raw energy, and I agree that the second is much softer and yes, more sensual. The one thing though, is that I don’t necessarily see sensuality, as the opposite of high fashion; I think high fashion can be sensual and soft as well! Sooo I guess I think your second could have been better^_^

Tiiu Kuik with Mr-Dale—This is a brilliant idea for opposites-very creative of you^_^ But while I love the theme, I’m not really loving the pictures themselves..the second just seems a bit awkward. Medium entry for me :ermm:

Freja with Mettchen—You chose the perfect opposites for freja! She has such a broad range, and these pictures show it! The first is so soft and gentle, and the second really shows that freja can make a huge difference in the attitude she (or the photographer) wants to give off..lovely entry.

Sasha P with dbear—What I love about this is that you had crazy makeup in both, not just crazy on one, natural in the other, which is what I was expecting..you actually had sasha imitate certain charcters which was very original of you!

Erin Wasson with Mafiosa—If I was judging the old way, this would be placed in the ‘middle ground’. I like the pictures, but they’re just..nice. I don’t really LOVE either of them, and I just feel like this is a simply medium entry for me.

Eugenia V with Buttons—Very interesting that you picked two pictures that are so similar as far as body language and angle. There is still definitely a difference, despite the similarity. The one critique is that I don’t see the first picture as ‘innocent’ because eugenias got smeary makeup and a kind of ruffian look about her that makes her look like she just had a nervous breakdown or a night on the town..the pic doesn’t seem to fit.

Querelle Jansenwith indie—This is another entry that’d be placed in the ‘middle ground’ by me. The first picture is nice, especially because of the colors and motion, as is the second with its muted presence…but neither of these pictures stand out to me..they’re just okay

Cameron Russell with jules—You’ve proved that Cameron can really model..she is SO versatile! She suits both looks especially with the lacoste vibe of the second one and the Saturday night rebel feel of the first..great job!

Anja Rubik with rachyroo—The second picture is one of my favorites of anja.! I think she does look great with that beautiful dress and the amazing colors! So I love this picture, but the picture you used for the first is only ok. I think you could have used a better opposite to Angelic :ermm: or a better opposite to vamp Something with the first seems a bit off to me, I guess

Mariacarla with boho babe—Wonderful! What I especially like is that while the second picture is definitely classic...mariacarla still adds flair to the photo with her hat to the side. The first is just amazing, especially the colors..definitely avant garde fashion! I think this is a fun entry, nice job!

Gisele Bundchen with JR—This entry let me down a bit. I don’t really understand your virtue photo at all! :ermm: She just looks..like she’s modeling, and I don’t see much else behind that…as for the depravity..the picture makes gisele out to be a little raunchy  and doesn’t flow with the first to me. I guess this one just didn’t work for me :(

Gemma Ward with Anais—The first photo is lovely, and I definitely see the ladylike-ness ( ) of it, even though gemma is in somewhat of an odd location! :p The second was brave of you, especially since gemma has that doll like quality and isn’t typically seen as dirty  I think you pulled it off though!

Iselin Steiro with Mettchen—What I love about this is how not only is Iselin rebellious and romantic, respectively..but so is the style of the photos! One is different, playing with shapes, and the other is more commercial with emanating light..these pictures work in more that one ways! Really nice job!:flower:

Agnes Buzala with Mulletproof—wow! The first picture is so different, but works, as is the second. The difference between the two, the wispy hair/leather clothes is obvious, and I think you did a good job putting this together:flower:

Raquel Zimmerman with tbj—This is a fun entry! I like that there;s an attitude in the first picture, but it’s almost a little too much to qualify as prim andproper…the loose hair and quirky clothes are a bit past that. The second is great too, although her face looks a bit bored! I feel like the faces should be switched on these:p Middle ground entry for me.

Liya Kebede with Mette—The emotional is soo fun! She looks genuinely happy here, but the second looks more like ‘a little pissed’ instead of calm cool and collected..this would probably be middle gound..good, but not great for me

Challenge #10
Was it Just a Dream?

Upcoming movie, "The Science of Sleep", directed by Michel Gondry is all about the difference between dreams and reality.

Life seems to be looking up for shy and withdrawn Stephane (Gael Garcia Bernal) when he returns to his childhood home with the promise of a great job. Wildly creative, his fanciful and sometimes disturbing dream life constantly threatens to usurp his waking world. While the job fails to meet expectations, he does strike up a relationship with his neighbor, Stephanie. As their connection blossoms, the confidence he exudes in his fanciful dream life begins bleeding into his real life. But just as everything is looking up, his insecurities raise their ugly head, and he faces a dilemma that the 'Science of Sleep' may not help him solve. Michel Gondry's science fiction doesn't explore outer, but rather inner, space, playfully reflecting the interaction between the worlds we inhabit: nature, society, and the mind. 'The Science of Sleep' utilizes rudimentary techniques to craft a thoroughly complex vision of the lead character's brain, filled with the anxieties, hopes, fears, and yearnings that lie in all of us.

Your job in this challenge? Find an imaginative, almost surreal picture of your model that could be a promo poster for the movie. Try to represent the storyline the best you can.

Example:

LIVING DOLL
lilystory079ubju8.jpg

"Be Careful What You Wish For!"

Have you ever said something that you wish you could take back? When Violet (Lily Donaldson) makes a wish to a beautiful fortune teller (Daria Werbowy) at the local carnival, she doesn't think it will lead to utter chaos. All she asked was to be the most gorgeous woman in the world and to have people idolize her! Suddenly, she's in a store window, with everybody admiring her beauty. But it's not exactly what she wanted: It turns out she's a mannequin! Violet has to figure out how she's going to get home, but still get a date with the sensitive window cleaner (Will Chalker), who wants to share all his secrets with the life sized doll.
