^I think she looks like Catherine McNeil. Right down to the slanted cat-like eyes.

Why do I love these models so much? Is it just nostalgia, or were they really different...?

(really didn't want to start any new subscriptions, but ... )

They were really different. They were professionals. They had class, talent, style and PRESENCE. They had what these kids working today could only dream of.

That's why you see Linda, Angie, Christi and some others coming back and doing new ads today instead of some of the younger ones.

they WERE different... more feminine, gorgeous but still they didn't look like dolls, photoshop wasn't really present, so they looked more alive... and there were no death stares or whatever people see in these today's models...back in 90s and 80s, girls were suppose to look like women. now, if you look over 22 you are done...
also before official supermodel era, these women were known to people who were in fashion only....now models are on page 6...

IMHO, there are only few models from the 00s, who could work in 80s, but all 80s supers could work in every decade.
the models from 00s i really like and respect: stam, ana beatriz, adriana lima, isabeli, noemie, natalia vodianova, and few more...

imagine aggy or freja in these photos with helena or christy....

They were different because the look as women (not lotitas). I don't think it's bad to looks as a teenager in modelling world, but those clothes are usualy sell for older women. So When I see Baby Gemma Ward face with a working business clothes... it's weird.

In the 80s, almost every women looked older than their age (because of the style, hair, make-up). Kate Moss has opened doors to the lolitas in Fashion world. Before her... they were looking at women and not teenagers.
