The Trench; In or Out?

A Classic Chameleon

The classic trench coat is just that, classic. However, there are always modern interpretations of the trench that incorporate trends.

Burberry is compiling trench coat street photos in a project called Art of the Trench (starting with work the The Sartorialist, Scott Schuman). They showcase how classic and trendy and personal the trench coat can be.

My trench is skirted, with ruffle bell sleeves and other girly details, not quite a classic but very me.

i used to have one...just never liked them. but i think i should have one just for the rainy/windy days...

Love the trench a classic staple for everyones wardrobe, suits everyone too if you pair it with the right colours!

IN IN IN!!! Although not everyone looks good in a trench I think they are a classic look that can help pull together any outfit. When I was in Japan this last spring I found a gorgeous quarter sleeve trench at the Gap with a ribbon tied back (that could also be moved to the front). I had never seen one like this in the US and thus had to buy it! I have worn it numerous times since!

I love the trench. I got a burberry one once but I didn't feel it was worth the money and got one just as good from Gap, and I love my waterproof Luella one. It has a little men in bowler hats and umbrellas pattern and it is shorter.

In! Always in! The classic trench should be an outerwear staple in everyone's wardrobe.
