Spoilers:
-Damon seemingly being nice to Caroline until he tries to stab her in the back, literally
-Damon being nice to Jeremy! Bonding moment!
-Caroline as a vampire... I like her better this way.
-Tyler is onto his uncle and now has the moonstone... And what will the moonstone do I wonder?!

Can't wait until next week!

Methinks that the moonstone is supposed to keep werewolves from shifting. My theory to that is that Richard Lockwood had it and never really changed to wolf, as far as we know. And now Tyler "borrowed" it.
But ep 2 was great, loved how Caroline threw Damon across the floor and the ending with two couples was so sweet, Matt/Carline and Elena/Stefan. And of course Tyler/Uncle Mason (I don't trust him yet) and Jeremy/Damon bonding moments. B)

i want the werewolf story to go away, i've never liked werewolves, they are boring; i like Caroline as a vampire, she was great when she confronted Damon; also, they need to stop making vampires look this weak, how can Bonnie take Damon down when he's a very old vampire and she's been a witch for a few months!?

^ yeah, I find that funny. he is shown as a strong vampire and some highschool-witch named Bonnie D) can make him so weak.

...and I loved Helena's make up in this episode.

What? Damon is not a strong vampire. He's just stronger than Stefan, and only because he feeds on human blood. And they are both still young.
Other vamps, notably Pearl (and Anna a bit, but they called it even) simply whipped Damon's a$s. That must be so embarrassing for Damon always getting his butt kicked by some girl. Or a history teacher. Thank God he could still keep Jeremy off his back in last ep, otherwise he would never hear the end of it, even Stefan's squirrels would mock him.

It's kinda a running joke over at TVD boards, about Stefan drinking animal blood, and is mentioned in series a couple times by Damon, when he mocks his brother saying, "All right. Give my regards to the squirrels!" and there was something else Damon says in either 2nd ep or a promo about either rabbits or squirrels rising up against Stefan.

Nah, he's a big softie underneath it all. But I like how he mocks people, especially Stefan and Jeremy. And his lines with Alaric are hilarious!

And this seems like a synopsis:

Elena, Damon, and Alaric take a road trip to Duke University and search through Isobel's research on folklore and paranormal phenomena to see if they can uncover any clues to the mystery surrounding the Lockwood family. Isobel's former student, Vanessa, offers to guide them through the research and ends up getting quite an education herself involving the existence of vampires and werewolves. Meanwhile, Stefan comes face to face with a terrifying new danger in the woods, and Tyler makes a shocking discovery about Mason... as well as himself during that night of the full moon.

I so hope they make the CGi/Fx part look good. Can't wait to see the doggies!
