Oh no, can't believe the episode was disappointing. Was the whole episode as a whole bad or was it just that we didn't get enough Elijah scenes?

^The lack of Elijah was atrocious but not even the worst part of the episode. The flashbacks were such a disappointment. They were boring and lame. The show basically took my favourite storyline, the Originals and made them BORING!

I thought Rebekah was great last night, the actress is very strong. They need to bring Katherine back though...Nina needs that dual character, she can be a bit too bland as just Elena.

Sooo how many caskets is Klaus lugging around? If it's three now then 1 of them is definitely Elijah, could the other two be his mother and his younger brother? The episode was ok, had a feeling that we wouldn't be getting as much of Elijah as we did of Klaus and Rebekah. I just didn't get why Rebekah was voluntarily giving up information about her family's past. I expected a lot more from the storyline about The Originals but I'm hoping it will get better after the hiatus.

And isn't funny how most of us are more invested in the guest stars and secondary cast than the main three?

AX: Would you say some of Elijah’s decisions in regard to Klaus have been, well, ill-advised?

GILLIES: I think that he’s an idiot. Some of the things that [Elijah has] done, especially toward the end of last season, I was like, “Well, that’s obscenely ridiculous.” There was no way that anybody that intelligent, who’d been alive that long, who can murder another vampire, no less, with the back of his hand, who can move faster than light, is going to go, “You know what? This guy [Klaus] is not so bad …” And I love you Julie, I love you Kevin, but I thought that was just … odd.

^^Klaus has been seen lugging more caskets than three. I don't think their mother or youngest brother is in them since they died a 1000 years ago - and we saw them bury their mother. Personally, I'm calling it a retcon. They clearly decided 7 siblings were too much so they killed off one in the so-called plague, then Henrick so there's maybe 5 left. If some of them didn't die before they were turned since we only saw Klaus and Rebekah be turned (WHERE WAS ELIJAH?!!!) But if we presume that no other sibling died, then there are two more + Elijah which again makes no sense since Klaus has more than three caskets. Unless he's carrying empty ones .

Then there's the actual origin story which jesus, that was bad. Eastern European Vikings in America?

I thought the girl who plays rebekah was so good, i felt sorry for her at the end though

I must admit i too was disappointed with elijah's scenes - when they said he was going to be 'back' i thought it meant he was actually going to be... you know... back!

I feel sorry about Rebekah's mother and the whole death thing That was a touching moment when she realized Klaus killed her mother. I can't wait to see how their relation will be look like now.

Julie Plec has said it herself that the biggest love in the series is the one between Stefan and Damon

I really like how the pointed out the love among family members in the last episode...not only for the Salvatores but also between the Original Family
