The Walking Dead

I dont read the comic books so please dont spoil it if you know: I wonder why Gareth was talking to Bob as if he knew him from before? could it be that Bob was part of the group that took Terminus away from Gareth "then"? that whole last scene got me confused...

could it be that Gabriel is or was part of the group that took Beth? he's supposed to be a priest and the car has a cross on it.

the show really got me hooked

^ i didn't notice the cross! That's a good observation, it could be.

It did seem like Gareth knew Bob, what do we really know about Bob's past?

Gareth could've just been referring to meeting Bob before at the killing station/trough whatever-you-wanna-call-it.

IMO, Bob had "dead man" written all over him, so not surprised something bad happened to him even if it was REALLY bad.

I'm loving this season so much though!

I wonder who the other 2 missing are (Sasha says 3 went missing in the preview) - it makes me worried for our core group.

^ spoilers: here, Sasha is referring to Bob, Carol and Daryl, cause she doesn't know (neither does the rest of the group) that Bob is now BBQ, C & D drove off after that car that they think Beth is in

God I love this show. More and more each day, even though it makes me really really nervous most of the time, and often sad  Go figure... And what an episode! Poor Bob... Now, I don't know if I missed something but why was he crying? At one point I thought maybe he had been bit back at the abandoned house and didn't want to mention it but I don't know. As for Gabriel... Apparently he was romantically involved with the lady in the picture/walker who came after him, but I wonder if that's his only sin... He seems like a nice guy to me actually, but you never know with this show. Still, I don't think he was involved in Beth's kidnapping. But I noticed the cross on the car wibdow too - maybe it was someone from his congregation, or maybe it used to be his car and they took it/he gave it away in exchange for something? Well, it's almost 1am here in Brazil but it's impossible to fall asleep right after watching an episode of this show :woot:

I was also thinkig that the people who took Beth maybe are the same ones who tried to enter the church? the ones that left the message carved in the wood?
I think that Gabriel closed the church and left people still alive outside, hence the message.

I thought that too... That maybe he didn't let people in to save his own skin and now he feels guilty

^ I think that too especially with the knife scratches next to the window, his biggest sin in his eyes is probably locking out the town and he still hasn't forgiven himself. He probably even kept the woman he liked out as well.

Agree, hence they all were in the food bank when they turned. I don't think the scratch marks had anything to do with the getaway car or those people.

wow that scene in the church was brutal....but i'm glad we don't have to deal with the "termites" anymore. looking forward to next week because it looks we'll finally learn the mystery of what happened to beth. but kokoboom, how spot on you were....he did lock those parishioners out.

Did I miss something? Was that bulletproof glass or something? why weren't the walkers able to break through it?

^ At the school? Gareth did say the walkers would eventually break through the glass

The church scene was intense, I'm glad that's over. I wonder if there is still more about Gabriel? And I hate that the group split again! I guess next week we will see Daryl and Carol and where Beth has been.

So what was with the "A" on the side of the church? that wasn't there last week was it? The camera panned to it when the group went outside so they want us to notice it. ( my first thought was Pretty Little Liars.. )

I'm so terrible at catching all the small details. You know, just last night when they were doing the recap from the episodes prior to it, I FINALLY noticed the cross that was on the car (I mean it was only lit up in neon in complete darkness...). And now you got me thinking if that A was ever there to begin with.

I was thinking maybe Gabriel was involved with kidnapping Beth??
I'm happy we are going to see her!
I think that the lady who slaps her is either really bossy/they dont get well or there's more to it.
She kinda wakes up in the hospital or some room, and it reminder me of Rick waking up in the first episode.

I thought the A was left by Gabriel when they left Bob behind? but I just did a google search on The Scarlet Letter, the book deals with sin and guilt so maybe it was left by the other people?
Gabriel's people also left weird marks on the trees, a straight horizontal line on one, another that looks like a key... are they biblical signs?

^ Yea I wondered about those marks too. We can't rule out Morgan.. he appeared in the first episode although it seemed when he got to the terminus sign that it was a bit after the group

I think the A definitely means something, we just don't know what yet. They never showed it in previous episodes, and they specifically pointed it out in this one.

I still think Gabriel is more than what he says. I know we found out what his 'sin' was, locking out the other people. But TWD doesn't generally introduce us to characters who are completely harmless and wrapped up in a neat little bow lol. I'm with Rick-- he's still hiding something.

As for Beth, I can't wait for that that mystery to finally be unraveled!

I meant Gareth instead of Gabriel, mixing characters now :P

The way the episode ended made me think something creepy happened to Carol... I'm curious! And I also can't wait to finally find out what happened to Beth.

I'm sad for Bob :(
