The Walking Dead

Merle as a zombie gave me a flashback to Sophia's death. Major chills. Wished he had stuck around longer as I actually liked his character and the tension he created within the group, but I understand why he had to go.

This show... is dead to me now that they've killed off my fav character.

kokobombon: Daryl has always been a fan fav apparently: Female fans of the show love him because he's the strong, lethal silent type with a heart of gold who can even sooth a crying baby and who's hairstyle never gets messed up. The male fans love his character because they want to be like him, etc... I find Norman very good in his roll, but I can't stand how much of a typical and predictable character Daryl is-- very by-the-book "tough guy with a heart of gold" crap.

It was fun while it lasted, but with my fav guy gone, not even the unpredictable and supersassy Andrea can keep me watching-- the rest of the people are so bland it's become unbearable to me. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the show!

I think that Daryl used to be a redneck cliche in previous seasons and now they' re turning him into a heartthrob... at least that' s my perception, in terms of "style".

I liked the last episode. The Governor biting off Merles fingers..what a psycho!
I wont miss him. I didnt hate him, though. He was an interesting character and fun to watch.

I'm a bit sick of them giving characters with the potential to be really interesting more dimension only to kill them off.

Downloading the first season to watch when I go away this weekend. Really excited to watch it

to tell you the truth i didn't see enough of merle to really get that invested in his character but i loved that he went from being this misunderstood,self-involved boor to turning out to having an actual conscious. but that ending was great....i loved the close up of merle as the walker's eyes.....it was a really hard-hitting moment with daryl realizing he had turned.

looking forward to the season ender. i saw some of the previews and it seems to me they all might be ready to move on from the prison. i wonder though if they do will they do so in time before the attacks? and i also noticed some interesting bits with tyreese and his group....he still comes across as pretty hesitant about attacking the prison. one wonders if he doesn't bail and end up turning on the governor?

Though she had it coming, at the end I felt bad for Andrea... she was the character we loved to hate wasn´t she? :/

Go Carl and his post apocalyptic pov! He owned Rick on that scene.

My first thought was that the battle was a bit underwhelming but in the end it was just right cause it showcased each group´s "philosophy" imo, no more no less...

The cliffhanger was a bit weak imo, no big turning point like other seasons. I guess season 4 will be more or less a continuation of this one?

Overall I liked the finale, nice moods and flow :)

^I am thinking it will be like the comics and the second attack will be big and some will die running from the gunfire and the survivors will leave the prison and get separated. But as the finale showed, the show and comics are taking really different routes.

So sad to see Andrea die, they are still alive in the comics and contributed so much. So upset and angry.

Its so annoying when people give Carl **** for killing that guy.
I mean what was he supposed to do?? That dude was obviously not gonna drop the gun. Also he came to kill, they were at war! Hershel should really calm down and realize that its a completely different world now.

I think the scene with Carl and that kid was to symbolize how Carl has completely changed and is becoming a man (similar to the Governor?) who will survive in a specific kind of way in the climate of the world as it stands. Carl is one of the more interesting characters IMO, moving forward next season.

I only recognized "Andrea" :P

adding to what you said *katfashion,to me that scene of carl shooting that kid symbolized just how desensitized he's really become since having to kill his mother. there's a cold sense of invincibility about him now. i still think he's kind of in mourning state. but we still see aspects of that immaturity like we saw in the second season when he was shot....the mistakes in some of the decisions he makes.....like the scene with michonne at that bar to retrieve that picture. he acts gung ho but he obviously still needs a lot of guidance too.

Im sure this has been asked numerous times, but can someone please PM me with details on where to watch season 3 in its entirety? I just finished seasons 1-2 on Netflix in like a week and I'm having serious withdrawals. Thanks in advance!
