Aww. Typical, now that I'm finally back online it seems this thread is well and truly dead. Is there anyone out there still interested in this topic? If they have the time, that is... because I am.
If not, can someone point me to another Illustration thread that will give me some motivation to practice outside of my personal limitations of inspirations and just generally make me draw while letting me receive comments and criticism.
Hopefully this thread fires up again as well...

Right, well, if the last challenge is still open and going, I've decided to make a quick entry.
First off, the painting that I was inspired by (note: I don't really have a painting in mind when I think favourite... generally, I'm a bigger fan of pop art such as silk screening and what not than of the more traditional style of art, but I found this using google images and random words

And finally, my sketch. I didn't bother doing a proper finished image this time, as I'm not sure anyone else is even interested in this, but will do one if I have time between now and when this challenge eventually ends. So, instead, I offer up this quick sketch:
I've quite literally translated the painting into the outfit, I feel. If the judge needs an explanation of what's going on in this outfit, such as materials used (and cannot read my chicken scratch writing on the image), let me know and I shall expand.
Anyway, that's it for now, I suppose.
ps. my apologies for the poor quality imagery, I haven't got a scanner where I am at the moment, so it's merely a dodgy photo of the piece.
