Congrats finalfashion and great theme. And thanks to Cosette for the reviews.

aww crapbag! I've been caught up in so much I've forgotten to do this last week...ah well plenty more opportunities, I'll try to get one done this weekend. congrats final fashion :winkiss:

Im going on a long car journey today, so Ill sketch out all my ideas and draw&post later tonight...:flower:

Here's mine for Reese Witherspoon.

I'm guessing she's a fan of the empire waist, so I did a dress with an empire waist for her.
The fabrics for the dress are a layer of pale purple silk and then a layer of purple lace with some gold in it.
The ribbons should be pale pink silk and the waist is like a belt going in and out of the purple dress, hope it makes sense.
The shoes a glittery red Dorothy shoes, to add some flamboyancy.

Hope you like it.:flower:

Oh, by the way, I haven't done it, but imagine a pink silk ribbon around her neck.

This thread is just fabulous! Such talent you guys

Nice take on a Reese dress Hana! She can borrow my shoes :p

Excellent Hana! Thanks for getting the ball rolling with such a pretty dress for Reese.

I know I'm not eligible this week but here's my entry just to help get us all started...

I chose the magnificent Dame Judi Dench. I wanted something that was regal without being fussy, so I chose a silk jersey fabric. The dress has an empire waist with a boat neck. The jersey skims the figure, and a full circle skirt adds drama and movement. The deep indigo colour complements Judi's silver hair. The sleeves are pushed up to the elbow adding an element of casual comfort. The highlight of the dress is a looped white jersey cowl that functions as a shawl as well as a design element. Worn with diamond drop earrings.

I bette stop procrastinating and get to my homework for this weekend now... keep the designs coming everyone!

Thanks for the compliments.
And your dress is fabulous finalfashion, love how you drew Judi Dench.

Oh, and just in case anyone was confused, this dress is meant to be worn to the Oscars, which is generally considered "formal" ... (whatever that means!);)

Im doing mine now, I was planning to do it last night but no way did i know I would be getting back home at 2'o'clock!

heres mine, for Charlize Theron :flower:

Charlize.png

The top is almost a dark grey/black and it fades down to white, the bottom is crumpled but the top is fitted with folds which swirl into the ones from the other side, and two straps for the other shoulders...

Wow, it's so exciting to see your ideas JR1! Very glamourous dress for Charlize.

I just have a couple questions about the drawings so I can get a better idea of how your designs work.

Hana, are those pockets on your dress?

and JR1, I'm not sure what the dots are, above and below the draped pleats on the hips? Also, what kind of fabric is the dress made of, is it soft like satin or stiff like taffeta?

Very glamourous dress, JR1.

The dots were meant to be small creases which didnt turn out right
and it would be soft satin :flower:

Wow, Sorry I haven't posted in a while. There wasn't any emails so I figured there was no replies. Thanks for the critics, I'll try to do better although I'm just a newbie when it comes to fashion. I already have an idea for my design, I'll hopefully have it up for tomorrow.

yeh, I'm not getting any notifications either. odd...

Looking forward to your entry Sieryu! And thanks for answering my questions Hana and JR1 :flower:

I designed my Outfit from Charlize Theron, I wanted to go for a Green Soft Clothe that will contrast and look great with her tan physic. Some what of like a Plant Beauty a "Dryad." The yellow showen in the images is actually suppose to be more of an Ivory. Knowing it was grammy's I wanted to have the glamourus low back for a great picture. I Thought the V-Neck was sexy without being "sl*tty" or vulger. The Ivory silohouette is ungerneath the Green garment. The green is suppose to be over the Ivory ruffles. I think for her hair like a nice long ponytail in which many actors have been using during award shows. And a soft green eye shadow. I also made a purse that can also unattach the chain making it into a wallet. The purse is a mix of the fabrics of the dress and has round chrystilized balls over the fabric to make it seem like if it were iced. Hope everyone enjoys, for I have in this sketch.
