Your legs I mean.

00220m.jpg

After seeing this picture i started thinking if it's necessary to shave all the time or just when we have to (like bikini season).

I remember in high school, some girls I knew would shave their legs all the time, even when they'd wear pants in the winter.

Does everyone shave because they hate hair?

I want laser hair removal, I hate the look of hair in the 'wrong places' on a woman (double standards yada yada) but I just don't feel comfortable with it.

To me it looks a bit like a skinny man leg, although it's not really noticeable as her hair is quite fine and not that dark, but still I'd get rid of it.

i shave because it makes me feel more clean and feminen. especially when being intimate with a man, im sure its best to feel sexiest when you know he's not touching hair...

Forgot to mention that the picture is from this season's Alberta Ferretti show.

I shave whenever it's possible other people will see. Otherwise I don't mind a bit of stubble. Of course I'm lucky cause my hair doesn't grow that much.

i wax.....
so i dont shave when the hair grows in between sessions...

All right... I'll admit it! I shave because it's the socially acceptable thing to do. I LOATHE it!!

I don't think hairy legs are particularly attractive, but I think we've all been ingrained to despise them. Anyway, if it wasn't considered disgusting by society, I'd be happy to leave the razor behind and reclaim all the time I waste taking care of that pesky issue ^_^

In the meantime, I wish for laser removal too :D

PS - Fortezza - thanks for adding which show the picture came from. Can you also add which site it came from as the source (i.e. style.com, etc.)? Thanks :flower:

is this actually true or just a myth? :woot: Perhaps I'll move to france

In the fall/winter/colder months, I don't shave my legs very often. If I'll be wearing a skirt, or dress, or going out for the night, I will definitely shave.

But if I'm in hibernation mode, and nobody will see me, why shave?

But yeah, on the topic of other people seeing it, I try to avoid stepping out with hairy legs.

well there are people everywhere that dont always agree on things.....
its a generalization, of course....
but i can say, generally, it is FAR more widely accepted....and even seen as SEXY....that woman have their natural body hair....

its a wonderful feeling.....;)....

It's the kind of thing I have 'nightmares' about...being in public and forgetting to have shaven etc... a bit like the 'naked in public' nightmare :ninja:

OH yeah I forgot to add.. if I'm going to be intimate with a man I shave everything exceept for a little landing strip hehe

I shave, though hardly at all in winter. I hate the double standard and realize i'm just conforming to it by shaving, but it's hard to stop once you start. If I had a boyfriend at the moment, i'd probably be shaving more.

uhmmm...i'm from europe and i have never met somebody who thought women who don't shave are sexy...EVER.

^me neither. but that doesn't mean that there are no such people.

If I get rich anytime soon (or anytime at all) I'm going for laser removal :D

really?.....

perhaps its apparent in different 'circles'.....
i have met more than a few european men who say they find it attractive.....a lot of it has to do with a woman being SELF-CONFIDENT enough to shun the so called 'must do' of eradicating all body hair and just being comfortable enough to say here i am.....

most of these men have been 'older', however.....
at least early to mid 30's....which i think makes a big difference.....
a lot of the younger generation are very 'americanized' in their sense of beauty and sexuality, i think.....again, a gross generalization.....but one i have found to be true in a lot of cases....

you know the idea of a beautiful woman like sofia loren....comfortable and confident with her sensuality and sexuality.....unshaven underarms.....
its actually considered very sexy......

but if thats not how YOU feel....thats OK too.....
;)....

I know European guys who thought leg hair is sexy. My girlfriend was commenting on how she doesn't like it when women don't shave, and the men looked at each other with a puzzled expression and said shyly, "Well...we actually think it's sexy..." And they were young...around twenty or so. They said something about animal magnetism and whatnot.

So there you go...
