The History of "shaving-waxing"

its about hygene. even in the koran it says women should wax their private parts, so its just hygenic. i think that plays a MAJOR part.

seriously? wow. i'm all for hygiene and i prefer to be neat or hairless myself, but it seems kind of funny that it would be in the koran!

Good on the Koran I say! However youth does not equal more hairy! At least not when you are fertile. Older people have less hair.

SIL -that's true but extreme youth = less hair (before puberty). You get hairier as you mature, and then when your body starts to decline into old age you begin to lose it again (the hypothesis is that the 'elderly' stage mimics that of the infant -the baldness, the fragility -in order to appear vulnerable and thus inspire protectiveness). :flower:

Of course, it's weird that extreme 'infertile' youth is considered attractive as it's hardly a signal of fertility. It's probably cultural (the current trend for stick insect women is cultural rather than genetic, I think).
