Tom Ford F/W 11.12 : Candice Swanepoel by Mert and Marcus

that's my biggest get up about it too ^ otherwise she looks great imo!

so sexy so simple !
simple? this is anything but simple, the make-up is tooo heavy! candice doesnt need that! her body looks great they just f'up w/ the make up!

ohh well great for candice

No undertatement but excess, luxury, gloss and sex appeal to the maximum and straight into your face.... Even though this is absolutely not my cup of tea, it's quite well executed from Mert & Marcus side. But it could have been a bit better, a bit more offensive in a way with some other model. Candice looks considerably good but lacks something to bring across this statement, she's not "extreme" enough - And the open mouth doesn't help here.

i've never really been a fan of tom ford's anyways, so i wasn't expecting much from the campaign, but this is a total misstep from mert and marcus.

...no offense to candice, but lara can do it 100 times better (with her mouth closed).

I am so tired about complaining about over photoshopping, but please stop over photoshopping! It's not needed and so unnecessary. She needs to close her mouth, too.

The fact that Mert & Marcus shoot almost every single damn campaign and editorial, they are bound to run out of ideas. Sometimes less is more in quality and quantity.

I think she looks more like Carla Gebhart than Lara, specially in the first shot LOL

Not a bad campaign but a lot of photographers "recycle" their shoots.

I wish the results with Candice were a bit better especially when she had her runway season. I am glad Jon is back on board though, he can do no wrong.

It feels like it's Tom Ford for Gucci when I look at this.

stop recycle your work like some dutch photographer duo....m&m!

tom please cast jeff burton for your campaign!

colors are too harsh for my liking.

im assuming Lara cancelled the shoot and they had to go with Candice..

No complaints from me! This is easily the best Tom Ford fashion campaign since he launched his label because every element of these shots appears to bear his touch. Apparently Mert & Marcus are a very good fit for where he's at these days. Ford seems able to get really good results out of them when they work together (think of his White Patchouli campaign).

The clothes look great, the colors are eye-catching and the whole aesthetic tells you pretty much all you need to know about the world Ford has built. Recycled or not I wouldn't mind being part of it.

I do wish they had featured one of those technicolor antelope clutches he showed, though, rather than the plainer bag that made the cut (not that purple crocodile is plain, but comparatively...).

Regarding the recycling, yeah they also did some stuff for Cavalli like this in the past (note the intentional redeye). But whatever, it's just another of the many arrows in their quiver. No photographer can come up with something totally innovative every time - that's asking the impossible.

y even bother to use a model if that excessive amount of photoshop was being used? m&m last season was good but this season, they have abused their technique to the max. before it was refreshing to see m&m works but now it is at the opposite end of the spectrum.

roberto cavalli, versace, loewe, and tom ford...........just too much for me to handle.

I kind of love it, it's strong and sexy - even though the open mouth thing does throw it off a bit. Things get recycled all of the time so that doesn't even bother me. It's eye catching and I'm sure that was the point of it all.

Its pointless to fuss over candice looking like lara in the ad and visa versa. Its Mert and Marcus, the model in this ad could be anyone and she would look the same.

I should like this but I just feel that Tom is so out of touch and date with fashion at the moment. Yeah, it's stunning to look at because of the glossiness and vibrant colors but I expect something a bit more innovative and different when it comes to Tom's campaigns.
