Also, I am in love with this dress (pic below). Problem is, I actually bought it, because it resembles my life-long dream dress, apart from the detail (or lack of!) at the waist.
I kind of regret it now, and am scurrying around in my mind wondering if to send it back or just team it with a lace body underneath, or ask a friend to alter it. So unsure!

I thought so too! I will try to find out if it's possible. I don't mind the middle, personally, but the bareness just wouldn't be 'me' somehow. I thought maybe crocket lace in white..

try it with different tops underneath. if the white is not seethrough i bet it looks great with coloured tops.

I got the most lovely fuschia pleated skirt from Topshop today- so wasn't expecting to find it. I paired it with a navy silk shirt this evening for dinner and got tons of compliments.

Here is the dress I mentioned earlier with a white slip beneath it. I don't think it works very well and might require a tighter slip. I tried various bodysuits, but sadly, even with a lining beneath the skirt, it is almost totally see-through so a slip is essential if you desire modesty
I may be sending it back. It does look ok with skin showing, though, it just isn't my style. It is also a bit on the smaller side than usual, so if you are an inbetween size, I would opt for the larger one - if you ever dare to purchase it, hehe.

Or maybe you could stitch some fabric underneath instead?

I am not happy with it on the whole, though, but it seems to have got some decent reviews at the store. Although the daisies at the waist are well attached, they do tend to stretch a little and become shapeless. Altering it seems nigh impossible, and the hook and eyes at the back tend to catch on the lace, causing plucks. And even with the lining it is completely see through, which kind of ruins the idea of pairing it with black tights, which I had wanted to do

So pretty, but so awkward!

Does Topshop now hold things for you when you put it in your shoppingbag? I noticed how the numbers available decreases when you put it in your bag. Usually that was only after you paid for them right?

I would have thought so, because I've often left things in my cart only to discover they are sold out a few hours later. If they've started to hold them I haven't noticed.

has anyone seen or bought this dress? i am desparate to find it and having no luck. I can't find a picture online, but its been featured in loads of magazines - its chloe/ballet inspired, looks like nude/grey tulle with a calf length skirt. I got my first Topshop order yesterday and I am not impressed... first, I think it took them long to send out my order (6 days for 1 item) and the bracelets that I have received have a very yellow gold tone instead of the white gold tone they had on the picture... now I can send it back and hope they get my package... I doubt I will order from them again...
