ew I HATE the Topshop concessions. Everything is so cheap looking and you just wonder how Topshop chose these brands. There are so many young talented designers around, yet Topshop choose the mainstream rubbish.
haha dcrd- pretty much the same comment at the same time Yeah, gosh at my school EVERYONE got their prom dress from Lipsy. And ew that brand called LOVE. Even Motel, I find tacky, although everyone else loves it. And lol does anyone remember the nu-rave phase a couple of years back and everyone had those t-shirts from a topshop concession called Lollipop and they said things like "drop beats not bombs" and "make love not war" rofllll
Lol I had a Lollipop t-shirt...trying to work out whether to ebay or just give it to charity. Could make a decent pajama top too. I quite like the PPQ-esque cardigan by Upper Fifth, but I'd have to take all the tacky gold bows off it. I don't mind Motel so much, and they have some decent (somewhat overpriced) ones at Oxford Circus. It's just they put all the tacky ones in all the other stores. Lipsy is the enemy, but they don't stock in Topshop anymore so that's one down.
Hahaha those tops were so funny! And everyone still likes the Pauls Boutique bags and that eugh! Same with me, the whole of my school were wearing Lipsy and something like 'tlfc london'
I happen to live in chavs-ville so both of my local stores (which are tiny and only ever seem to have big sizes in stock) so about 75% of the stuff is hugely chavvy, bleh. I think thats the thing about Topshop ,for me, I either really love the stuff or think it is totally vile - theres no inbetween areas.
lol Pauls Boutique bags are still everywhere. As are those quilted Marc B ones [overpriceddddd]
Ew the worst one of the concessions was I Saved Lawrence
I'm loll-ing at how much we all seem to hate the Topshop concessions, they really do suck! I like a few pieces so far on the Topshop website, mainly plain ones that could be styled up with other non-Topshop items.
I hate Motel, those bloody Motel dresses are EVERYWHERE. Oh, and then there's Lipsy with the zip detailing everywhere, talk about easy access pfft. I HATED the Agyness Deyn inspired collection last fall/winter, oh dear. Don't even get my started on Kate Moss, two words; ridiculously overpriced.
Sorry to all you non Topshop haters, it seems as if us UK gals are hating it (and myself, woo N.Ireland).
is illustrated peeople and loewy topshop concession brands? i quite like some of illustrated people's sweaters but everyone seems to have them nowadays. i really loved loewy when they were in topshop though
Oh, Illustrated People is another one I really dislike. It's American Apparel with a simple shape painted on. You could so easily make it yourself. The people behind the brand are so lazy
Oh I know, I remember there was a similar one last year, it was about £120. D:
I've tried loads of vintage ones on though and there all hugggeee on me.
v1ki- hmm, I might actually save for that. It's quite good as it's such a wearable coat and it's kinda timeless, I don't think it'll ever go out of fashion because it's vintage looking.
I'm not a fan of those dresses, tbh.
