^ are in the uk? It doesn't normally take over a week for normal postage (i.e not next day postage) :unsure:

No I'm in Australia. I understand that it will take some time in transit etc but the thing I don't understand is why they haven't sent it yet. The status has been reading 'NEW ORDER. NOT YET DISPATCHED' for five days now!!!! They've charged my card......so I'm wondering why they don't just send it already!!!!

hmm that is odd. you should contact them. ive only ordered from them twice so far but both times they say that they do not charge until after/when they ship the items. you should give them a call. you do mean 5 business days right?
 
Thanks m4ryb3ar!! I never thought of that, you're right...I think I read something about them not charging until they have the items and have sent. So maybe it's just some sort of mistake. They may have sent the items but forgotten to update the status or something. I remember another time I bought something somewhere else online and the status didn't change and then suddenly it arrived at my door!! I made the order last Thursday so there have only been three business days...but I'm guessing they work on saturdays too though?? :unsure:
 
^ No Saturday doesn't count as a buisness day, its the same for most if not all websites :flower:
 
I pay the extra pound for next day delivery, otherwise you have to wait so long you may as well have gone to the shop! I bought the big baggy jumper with leather elbow patches today. I love it!
 
what does "Not Received By Courier " mean?? i was just trying to track my parcel...
does it mean no one was there to pick it up?? but i mean they delivered it past nine... do they expect someone to be there??? ugh

I called them yesterday.
The woman I spoke to could see that my order had been made last week and was still waiting to be dispatched. She said she would check it out so she put me on hold then came back and said that there had been some hold up, but it would be sent out that evening. :woot:
She also said that they charge as soon as they take the order not when they dispatch it, which is why I had been charged for it last week.
So anyway today I logged on to see if my parcel had been dispatched yet, but it read 'sorry the items on this order are no longer available'. :shock::shock::shock:
I was kinda confused (not just because I was told yesterday that the items were in stock and would be sent out to me that night) but because since I placed my order a week ago, both items have been available for sale everyday on the TOPSHOP site. So today when I read the new status on my order, I went back to the merchandise pages to look for the items again. But was even more confused to find that both items were still available for purchase in full size ranges. :huh:
Btw, they still have my money...which as a student $200 leaves a massive hole in the account which could have been handy over the weekend :rolleyes:
So anyway I called them again today, when I started I was 25th in the queue!!! (needless to say all these phones calls are a big fat waste of time)
I asked what happened, and why it took them a week to tell me they are out of stock but charged me for the goods anyway. I also asked why the items are still for sale on their site.
They explained that it takes awhile for them to update the site. And as for the money, because I'm an international customer it should take some days before it's returned to my bank.
Because I didn't want this whole exercise to have been a complete waste of time, I asked if they would simply keep the money and send me the goods when they come back in (because I was told the items would be back in stock in a couple of weeks) but she said no "we don't hold stock". When I explained that it wouldn't be holding because I've already paid for it, she replied no we can't sell you something if we don't have it....but hang on, why was my card charged last week for then?!! :shock::shock::shock:

There was no sorry we wasted your time or money...nothing.

The only thing I gained here is a complete headfck.

I think you're right, that it means no one was there to pick it up. In fairness to TS, I think that's a good policy. What if they just left it there on your step and someone else came along and picked it up....that would prolly happen where I live :innocent::lol:
Maybe you could give them your work address or someone you know who is always around?
I gave the address for my stepfather's office because there is always a receptionist on duty.

i gave my university address cuz i live there now but i dont know if they are gonna deliver it to the uni post centre or my dorm... if they are gonna deliver it to uni i dont know wt to do, if they off duty that's it i cant do anything abt it...:(

Students who live on campus here have all their mail collected for them at reception, the postman prolly won't go to your dorm... What has happens with your other mail at uni?

i was just worried cuz the last time i ordered from topshop i collect from uni post rm thing, no prob. but this time the tank is taking forever to arrive...
 
I had an order stolen out of the front garden, so they promised they'd make sure the items were signed for. The next order that came was yet again, chucked in the front garden, the door not even knocked on! Fortunately I saw it, but people steal stuff all the time around here, it's not good business for such a large company.

ive always had such good delivery service, (I used to use their website constantly as up here Id see something on the website but they'd NEVER have it in our store, as it was so pants, but since our store has been re-vamped and is all fabulous & huge now, I've not had to use it so much!) the only complaint from me is that they come VERY early in the morning so they wake me up lol.
Sorry to hear about all the fuss and confusion you've had nangnangnj :(
 
quite like the new sequin bag on the site! the chain is also really nice!
 
Mindbear- that happened to me too. It's because Home delivery network are so rubbish! Not topshop's fault
 
Yes they are. I ordered next day delivery on monday. It's thursday now and I still haven't got my jumper. Curse those lazy sods!
 
yea they seem to be a lot slower in processing orders as of late. when i ordered from them when the us website first launched, they would dispatch it within 2 days, now its taking like 5 days or so for them to process it.
 
I haven't ordered from Topshop since they started forcing people in the US to use the Topshop US website. A coat that is 100 pounds on the UK website is priced at $200 on the US website when the actual currency exchange rate is $148.55! What is so great about the new US website anyway? I was perfectly fine with using the UK one.
