WHere would you recommend me going to find a fun party dress at a somehwat reasonableprice that is not in yorkville, eglinton (tnt bella), queen st.. (the obvious ones)??

try kitsch boutique in forest hill village, at spadina and lonsdale... pretty much all they sell is dresses and they've got lots of different styles, plus some vintage in the basement

i'm way tired of aritzia... but i've been living in new york for a while and haven't had a chance to explore toronto since i've been back. any store recommendations? the truth is that i like aritzia... minus the juicy, the uggs, tna, etc. any stores that you love that are unique to toronto?

is queen street really that "hip"..and yorkville?

im quite terrified walking on queen...most of the people dress scene..which is quite a bored now
and yorkville is a turn off now..i only go to bloor now for holt..and because i use to work at a bridal shop near the area

does any one go beyond downtown?..maybe uptown for a change?
i love pacific mall..the clothes there do have some character and sass

i do recommand people coming uptown for a change
i shake my head at dt stores

Wow, I can't believe no one has mentioned Kensington Market!! I absolutely love Kensington - there are amazing vintage shops, some re-worked, a little new and asian imports - and you can find tons of interesting local designer wares!

On my last visit, I bought a chain link belt ($5) from Flashback (was eyeing the sombreros, but they were too big!) - a canvas mailbag from a little rasta shop, and a really cool inexpensive local designer shirt from The Rage.

I don't understand it though...Everyone thinks Queen West is funky but all I ever see there is Gap, Zara and Aritzia in terms of shopping?!?

I think what they mean by the "funky" stores are the ones like Te Koop, Pull, Clik Klak, Peach Berserk, etc.

No, I think what they mean is Queen NOT around City TV. Doesn't anyone venture West of spadina and East of Sherbourne?? Queen W/ Queen E is amazing if you're not anywhere near John St.

In the mall, girls who works in the boutique are very fashionable and stylish, but they don't like their photos to be taken, so here are some store windows, which are styled by those girls, which also represents their style and enjoy!

I love it!!! where abouts is the pacific? chiinatown i guesS?

Pacific Mall is in Markham, Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Rd. to be specific. But as a warning, since it is an Asian mall, their sizes can run a little small. I am tall and I found that I couldn't find long sleeve shirts that fit me, they were far too short. Oh well.

Also their shoes sizes only go up to size nine and it runs small as well, a lot of clothes are one size fits all.
