Los Angeles Street Style

^ If you're from New York, and have good style... PLEASE bring it here!

I'm still not sold on LA fashion. It's just not my thing. Bleh.

Here's my friend's LA style blog, though - you'll get lots of ideas from her photos.. she has a serious passion for fashion: http://lainspiration.com/

yeah, los angeles has really horrible fashion. trust me, everyone will love it if you change anything around there.

and when you get here, you'll understand why. and it's not to say some stuff doesn't come out of here, because you can find cute pieces, but nobody wears them.

yeah i have noticed that too..i get a lot of stares when I wear somethings that I do but most people are curious and ask me what it is...like my yohji clothes and things like that. I think we can educate the people of L.A.!!

Wow, it looks terrible all around...

Anyway is there a thread on living/working in LA? I've got some questions :flower:

to me, this is what L.A. style is all about :sick::sick: let's face it, L.A. isn't the capital of fashion, it'd never has and never will. i see a lot of copycats. too trendy. not original.

^ Hah, I don't get the muffin tops thing, but...

It depends on what part of LA you are. I agree, overall... LA style is NOT my cup of tea... many fashion victims out here. But trust, especially in the more affluent areas, there are women that dress well and have style.

I don't think the Ugg trend holds true anymore. They were really popular about 5 years ago, but now for every girl wearing Uggs, I see 10 wearing ankle or slouchy boots. I never see anyone wearing Hollister either. I think it is marketed more towards people who want to visit SoCal rather than the people that actually live here.

Wow, with the exception of maybe 3 of those outfits posted above on this page, all of them are hideous and make no sense.

Aw, I love Brandi Magee's outfit in Larchmont Village... I actually am a big fan of that area... did a recent blog post on there, too. My fiance and I visit weekly... and the style I see there is way more refined than what you see in Silver Lake or like areas.

One thing I could stand to see more of in LA - lovely dresses. I'm so SICK of skinny jeans!

A collage of hipsters... not exactly LA style.

Uggs, orange skin, frosted locks, rhinestones, and muffin tops pretty much sums up Orange County style. :yuk:

No offense, by the way.
