Cool. Maybe we can meet. Even though my evenings out are a precious rarity (having a six months old) - there is always lunch time. Softie, what do you say?

Oh Lord, this is going to be the event of the season...screw the couture!! Go Us!!

Alejandro,

This time last year i stayed at the Time Hotel and the room was small but sill pretty cool for about a hundred a night.
So check it out, also check out hotels.com for some decent prices. Good luck dude!! Maybe I'll see you around.
I would recognize you anywhere ( i wonder why ) :flower:

yep
i'm back
so any evening or weekend
just let me know :)

Mmm... I stayed at the Midtown Hilton and even though it was in the most perfect location ever and the rooms were very nice, the people working there were very rude! But I didn't spend much time in the Hotel anyway so it was okay. ;)

We are really deprived of freet time. I have to ask my wife. I'll get back to you.

OK, this time is for sure, I had some problems scheduling myself on class, and I needed to change my schedule, but I leave this thursday, so, I have an idea of where im going to be staying, still, im not sure, once I get there, I will let you guys know the 411... Let's meet up people

Before the summers over, I have to go into the city. I've been meaning to cause the last time I went was to see a show and go out for dinner, but I'm dying to just walk around, I haven't in months.

Favourite Places In New York

i know there has been topics like this before, but the site is doooown and searching aint working... and i have helped on stuff like this before for london stuff

im going to be coming to new york 5th august till 11th august...
and i wonna know where i should be going .... i have no idea of new york stuff...
the only things on my list are the heatherette store, hotel venus, stat of liberty, central park and the original c*ck club (where r london one got its name from) o actually i also wonna check out bungalow 8 and the tunnel... (me thinks i need to watch all my sex and the city dvds to get a list up)um yeh... and i hav no clue where to look for them... so please help!!!!!

also if any1 is in new york n wud like to meet... maybe we could arrange something... i always forget where people live... softie u a manhattan girl????

thank u in advance.... :flower:

Bungalow 8??
Is it still good?? I went a few times....too many noses up in the air for my taste. And I don't think tunnel is around anymore. What are your tastes? Maybe I can suggest something?

Tunnel? Where have you been  ? Actually it's not funny, because tunnel was closed for throwing overdosed kids out of the back door and for several rapes taking place there. I think Soundfactory is still open if you are into the teenage meatmarket type of clubs.

Like Sugo said, post your preferences (and budget  ), there is too much to list.

Hmm, maybe we could meet.

heatherette store?...i don't think there is one...and i'm not sure if hotel venus is still open...but the patricia field store definitley is...you also want to check out st mark's place(east 8th street)...and the east village...aves A & B... then there is chelsea...which is the gay district and christopher st...all gay stores and cafes...

are you interested in the gay club scene...i could ask some friends if you like...but they are much older and tend to do more mainstream kind of stuff...like theatre and bars...not clubs so much...i think there is some stuff in the meatpacking district...

i definitley think you should go the the metropolitan museum of art while you are at central park...you can go up to the sculpture garden on the roof and have a drink and get a great view of central park and NYC...(78th street/5th ave?)

and don't forget century 21...for discount designer shopping...

can you be a bit more specific about what you want to do?...how long are you here for?...

I think Soundfactory went the route of tunnel. Last time I checked it was closed.
The new spots in the city are Crobar and Spirit.

Yea, same story, I think. My juvenile clubbing days are over. If I see another velvet rope again I'll gag

I'd say Fifth Avenue, uptown. It's cool to just walk around, windowshop, plus it's just a really nice area. I also love going downtown, the village, TriBeCa, SoHo all of those neighborhoods, you can do pretty much anything while you're down there........
Oh and I definitly agree with softgrey, the Century21 near Wall Street is awesome.

I thought that Patricia Field closed and Hotel Venus stayed open? Did I hear wrong? I wondered why Pat would close her store.

i'm not sure right now...i think you may be right...i haven't been to either in ages...
but they're both basically the same thing...just with different names...so it's still her store... ;) :flower:
