^Stacks of bracelets is one of those things that I love visually, but find very distracting to wear.

Wearing ballet flats in the summer, I'm seeing that everywhere. I know some people are sick of ballet flats, but in relation to the summer shoe trend of a few years ago, you must admit it's better than flip flops.

i know what you mean... all that clanking together can get quite annoying if there's too much metal :p

-Nude color
-Denim shorts
-Rompers
-Blazers with puffed sleeves (a la Balmain)
-Navy with black
-Gumball cocktail rings

I totally agree with the ballet flat in summer "trend". Soooo much nicer and put together than a pair of flip flops.

I guess through the power of persuasion, I'd say that I've grown somewhat a fondness for retro high top sneakers (not the overkilled Chuck Taylor-style high tops). The persuasive force came from when I was flipping through the pages of Teen Vogue magazine and saw an ad for Pastry Shoes Collection. And not so much the sneakers themselves, but how colorful and fun they look, including that sweet inspiration. Almost like candy for your feet (like I said about those Deandra pumps from Betsey Johnson in the old "Yay or Nay?" thread). The most popular one is their Glam Pie sneakers.

I almost immediately think rocker chic with these style shoes. However, these sneakers can be worn in a cute, girly way. Just look at Vanessa and Angela Simmons (the co-creators of Pastry) sporting some of the Pastry Kicks sneakers. If I were a femme, I had a look inspired by a Journeys ad I seen in a magazine once. A look I'd probably go for (again, if I were a femme) would be this colorful white T-shirt, a medium blue or indigo denim mini skirt, some pink leggings that go down to either mid-calf or just above the ankles, and some of Pastry's retro high-top sneakers.

So yeah, I've eased up on high-top sneakers... but only those '70s style, non-Chuck Taylor high tops.

Big sunglasses and jumpsuits, like the ones at Topshop (only if they are on the simpler side not the horrid ones with fur and glitter everywhere and that you can accessorize)

After showing a little praise for this look in the Shoes forum, but I'm liking the look of short-shorts paired with boat shoes. Boat shoes are more like a lace-up alternative to ballet flats. While I tend to love slip-on shoes more than lace-up shoes, boat shoes are catching on as femme fashion is concerned.

I'm starting to see more maxi dresses these days. Just glad that dresses aren't dead, at least from some of the people I'm around. I do just tend to think that I've seen more denim mini skirts rather real dresses. Not that I dislike mini skirts, it's just that I'm glad more femmes aren't just letting go of dresses here in the Houston-Galveston area. I've seen quite a few flowing and beautiful long dresses. The reason why I haven't said maxi dresses is because I sometimes can't tell between a regular long dress and a proper maxi. I usually think maxis have more flare and more flow than most regular long dresses. But still, glad to see that sundresses and long/maxi dresses aren't dead.

^^I agree with the maxi dresses. And yeah, I feel like long dresses and maxi dresses have a slightly different shape and flow and feel. I love them. And also really simple jumpsuits. And I mean simple. Like solid or small, unobtrusive print ones in a basic shape.

orchestra jackets (balmain jackets)
studded shoes, bags, jeans, t-shirts everything....!
doc martens
hunter wellington boots, got them in brown, black and pink heh.
bows as a hair accessorie, ex. tie a simple bow with a silk ribbon around your ponytail, lovely.

Well, I've praised the look of cuffed short-shorts (non-denim) and boat shoes. It's just a look I've strangely liked. I find boat shoes (and I'm just talking about boat shoes now) as the lace-up alternative to ballet flats. Boat shoes are strangely catching on with me. Would I wear them? No.

When I've started at boat shoes + cuffed short shorts, I had shorts like these below in mind. Pay attention to the style of the shorts rather than just the specific shorts themselves. Here are the style of shorts I've liked best with boat shoes:

* http://www.tillys.com/tillys/varian...&source=1&size=&network=CJ&affiliates=2178999

And with bottoms, I'm somehow attracted most to white, beige, tan, ivory... those kinds of colors. Mostly flap-pocket short-shorts have been to my liking. Actually, I'm fond of flap pocket pants and shorts por femmes. But it's been these beach-style shorts (excluding Bermuda shorts) plus boat shoes that I've liked.
