those shoes, i tried them on, so sweet i should have left with them probably. a couple of the tops too, they fell perfectly on the body, absolutely precious, the cream color shed the peter pan vibe and the black version tim burton bride.

and so obvious that tao is working on the designs...
thank heavens! i know she said that was her primary reason for shutting down her CdG label but nothing was ever made official,in the year following. you know,the greatest thing besides the extraordinary work itself,that came out of TAO,was that this introduced people to tao's aesthetic but also introduced unbeknownst fans like myself to the identity behind tricot.....which i've always adored.

got to know this yesterday.
it seems that they have been doing "tricot special" since F/W 11.
it could be interpreted as tricot's capsule line where tao's involvement is more personal and her preference is more strongly manifest, that is, sort of casual (or somewhat street) and accessible rebirth of tao CdG.
of course tricot special has a different seasonal theme from tricot CdG.

i saw the tricot lineup at comme last week and it is my favorite to come out of the comme universe this season. in particula, a black wool coat with a tiered ruffle collar and the most beautiful ornately sewn buttons. it was very oliver twist orphanesque (as my friend perfectly described it). still cant get it out of my mind 
...also, the sheer tulle layered skirts and tops were able to be worn alone or together. lastly, a couple of thin, sheer wool sweaters with pin dots on them were sweet and delectable. everything made your heart go pitter patter with want.
