Tucking shirts in only at the front

The Vogue Paris team does it so I guess it's way cool.

Just kidding. I like this. It's practical, makes you look more
polished without having the WHOLE tee tucked in.

I love this look, especially on women. Here are a few who do it well...

love that picture ^^
i usually do this with loose fitting tee's etc, it makes my legs look longer when i tuck 'em into jeans hehe.

Thanks for picking up on this. I knew it had to be something... That last Patti Smith pic is amazing!!! I used to do it myself out of laziness, what do you know? It's cool!
(I have to admit that I have also a very nice italian python leather belt that I very much like to show off).

I agree, effortlessness is crucial.
It's lovely when done without a belt.
Or, with the whole front in, and with an unobstrusive belt.
Preferred on women.

And the buckle should never be the center of attention, too fashion victim.

As far as I'm concerned, the guy in the first post is an example of what not to do...it screams "glimpse the belt and weep".
He's even origami-folded the front bit...:ninja: The others are fine.

Is there a way to make it look that way?

I mean, if someone said it was effortless, it would mean that the person did it without intent to tuck in front because the shirt was too big.

Papa_levante, that was meant to be my breakdown re. effortlessness. :flower:
And maybe dance around to mess it up a bit. I think most of the photos look effortless, except the first one like I said.

I find that this trend is really useful with long shirts. Nowdays for some reason it seems all the shirts I get are super-long, almost like mini-dresses. :ninja: Tucking it in makes it look so much better :D

Effortless or not, whatever the personal considerations (or the absence thereof), you'll spot them in the way the shirt is tucked. Some people are perfectionists; others have natural nonchalance. I think that's the fun of fashion. Manners maketh man...

I always do this, sometimes people are like.. why is the front of your shirt tucked in though. ha

^Agree :ninja:
That's why I try to make it not too messy but not origami-folded either...very hard to do find a balance :D

I think it can flatter your proportions... make the legs look longer by exposing them. I like most of the examples... good spotting of Patti Smith ^_^

I like this for its casual look.. but this trend is vaguely amusing to me because everyone (well, the girls at least) wore their t-shirts like this (just the front tucked into shorts) for gym class when I was in middle school!

I saw this on a middle-aged guy with a beer belly this past 4th of July ... really killed it for me :innocent:
