Twilight

i always imagined felix as a light, skinny teenager, not this dark and all muscle.
though, the rest of the cast seems amazing!

I´m quoting from the book: "Felix was very big, tall and thick through the shoulders. His size reminded me of Emmet" :flower:

Graham Greene is awesome. He was in a movie I love called 'Transamerica'.

Still though, it's great to have an official list from Summit. :)

Oh thats awesome!! Finally some big news! lol I like the cast, they all fit their description one way or another I think.

I was flipping through my old Teen Vogue magazine and Jamie C. Bower is in it..
he looks different in it too.
I had to read the name to notice who he was.

^its on the page before this one.

Drew Barrymore Talks About Almost Directing 'Eclipse'
Juan Antonio Bayona will helm third installment of 'Twilight' series.

By Jocelyn Vena

Drew Barrymore may have made the shortlist of directors up for the chance to helm "Eclipse," the third installment of the "Twlight" franchise, but that distinction reportedly may go to Juan Antonio Bayona. At the "Grey Gardens" premiere, the actress told MTV News just how badly she wanted to work with the likes of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"Oh, I wish that I was! I adore that project and I adore the team that's making it," she said. "And I am very honored to now be a director and going up for other movies and being offered other movies as a director. I'm now an actor/producer/director! How lucky am I!"

Back in February, word began to spread that Barrymore was one of the directors being considered to helm the project. Her directorial debut, "Whip It!," a comedy about a female roller-derby team, is currently waiting for a release date.

"Eclipse" has a June 10, 2010, release date, and filming will presumably begin soon after the completion of "New Moon," which is already under way in Vancouver.

In earlier interviews, before she was passed up to direct "Eclipse," the actress seemed eager to join the project. "I'm one of the directors that is being talked about, which is great, because I'm a director now," Barrymore said. "But, you know, they'll make their choice."

i heard that Summit already said that the Bayona directing thing was just a rumour, i don´t think they confirmed who the director for Eclipse will be, or did they?

Hmm, if they are really shooting 'New Moon' and 'Eclipse' right now this would mean that Chris is making both, right?

And final some confirmed cast news. I'm quite happy with who they picked so far. Now they just have to do a good job in the movie itself. Heheh.

thanks label_basher for the news:flower:

i think the casting is good...(except for sheen:angry:) but i don't really know most of the volutirs roles anymore:ninja: i'll just wait for the result

^the last rumor i heard was that chris' brother would direct "eclipse. but it makes sense that they never released an official statement about the "eclipse" director when they're already shooting scenes for eclipse now. but i think chris has to have a strong second unit...he has to finish the first movie till november, not too much time for post-production in the first place so he can't really focus on "eclipse", right? maybe he and his brother are a team after all

(did my post make ANY sense?!)

If they really are shooting back to back, then why hasn't Summit released any casting information for characters in the third film? I haven't read the series but I suspect new characters are introduced in the third book, right?

I've also read that some members of the cast were only going to be in Vancouver for a week due to other projects, which would mean that if the third film is really being shot right now then they had changes to their shooting schedules made.

I hope Summit releases a statement about this soon, because it's really quite confusing.

it made sense alvedansen.
Summit can be quite sneaky sometimes about releasing info huh? Annoyingly so i must say.

i guess they're just shooting some scenes of "eclipse" to save money
for example the high-school scenes (renting the school, flying in/accommodate the extras, maintaining the look of the school...etc. costs a lot of money) and i guess the same goes for the cullen "mansion".
i believe they built houses for the blacks' house as well as bellas home so they can shoot scenes that take place at those locations all the time and don't need to shoot all of those yet

ooooooh, i didn't read the books on my mother tongue so that kind of details slip while reading. thanks for the quote. now when i read it, yeah, fits perfectly. :flower:

i must say tinsel is a great choice for emily, just as i imagined her.

if they're really doing the 2 movies at once, it may be they've split the filming in half or they're doing the eclipse stuff that's convenient to film atm in vancouver?

EDIT: Alvedansen already answered. :)

Access Hollywood interview with Alex Meraz, when he was at the 17 Again premiere:

‘New Moon’s’ Alex Meraz On His Shirtless Werewolf Transformation Scene: ‘It’s Something Else!’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Twilight” fans have been buzzing online about details coming from the set of sequel “New Moon,” currently filming in Vancouver – especially when it comes to members of the werewolf pack.

Access Hollywood caught up with actor Alex Meraz, who plays pack member Paul, Tuesday night at the premiere of “17 Again” in Hollywood, where the actor revealed some chilling details about working on the November-due film.

“It’s really cold in Vancouver and, you know, I have no shirt on,” Alex told Access. “[And] sometimes, not [even] shoes! I think the real acting is coming in and trying to act like I’m warm.”

According to Alex, the reason he’s shirtless is going to delight fans who have been waiting to see a “Twilight” werewolf on the big screen.

“I filmed the transformation scene, which I’m gonna say right now… it’s something else,” he explained. “It’s going to be something to look forward to, for sure!”

Despite the frigid temperatures up North, Alex said he’s having a blast, especially with his co-stars.

“It’s been really good. The cast is just fantastic. The other guys are just really good.” He said. “I love spending time in Canada too. Canadians are just such loving people so it’s been really good.”

Luckily, as a new member of the franchise, Alex said he has not had to endure any hazing from his co-stars.

“They’ve been pretty good,” he told Access. “They’ve left me alone… they’re good people.”

Alex added that he considers “New Moon” director Chris Weitz “good people.”

In fact, he’s even buddied up with Chris before scenes for mini-workouts.

“I have to work out before takes and he kind of comes in, and he’ll grab two dumbbells and he tries working out [with] his little frail body. I try to teach him techniques,” Alex explained.

Despite Chris’ inability to bulk up like some of his cast, Alex loves working with the director.

“He’s amazing!” he added. “He’s so fun to work with, he’s very charismatic and he has a good time, everyone loves him.”

...And, another one with Alex. I'm so glad that New Moon will be 'darker'. Chris seems like he's really doing a great job so far. :D

'Twilight': Werewolf hunk Alex Meraz talks about making 'New Moon'

EW caught up with Alex Meraz, who plays werewolf Paul in the Twilight sequel New Moon, at the premiere of 17 Again last night in L.A., and the actor took the opportunity to chat about the challenges that come with playing a buffed-out lycan with a temper. Namely, constantly having to resist temptation at the craft service table while maintaining tip-top physical form. "We are pretty much half-naked the whole time, running around and lurking," Meraz said of the three weeks he spent shooting in Vancouver. "We have to watch what we eat all the time, and before we start filming a scene, we can all be found on the side of the set with the dumbbells, lifting and curling and doing pull-ups. That's for the ladies."

As for how New Moon will compare to Twilight, Meraz had a few thoughts. "It's going to be way more awesome than Twilight. The way Chris Weitz is directing it and his interpretation of the book is a bit edgier, darker, more intense," he said. "How could it not be better? We've added werewolves and we still have vampires. Plus," he joked, "you added me. That makes it that much hotter." (Reporting by Carrie Bell)
