BREAKING DAWN GETS THE GREEN LIGHT?

"Breaking Dawn" has reportedly gotten the green light by Summit Entertainment, as the fourth movie in the "Twilight" saga, according to TheWrap.com, although a rep for Summit Entertainment, the film's producer, told MTV News late Monday afternoon that the report is untrue.

TheWrap.com reports that a source close to the film's production said that "Breaking Dawn" will start shooting in the spring of 2010.

"Breaking Dawn" would follow production of the third "Twilight" film, "Eclipse," which Drew Barrymore recently revealed she won't be directing. Chris Weitz replaced Catherine Hardwicke on "New Moon," and it is widely believed that Juan Antonio Bayona will tackle "Eclipse," although a director has yet to be confirmed by Summit.

The anonymous Summit executive who spoke to The Wrap said that there was no production schedule for "Breaking Dawn" yet and no current plans to shoot in Vancouver, but the stars of the film will reportedly get some time off after finishing "New Moon" before they begin work on "Eclipse."

"Twilight" was released last November and was an instant smash at the box office. Because of the first film's success, "New Moon" was green-lit and will be released on November 20, 2009, and "Eclipse" should be in theaters in June 2010. "Breaking Dawn" would hit the release docket later that year.

Just last week, the rest of the "New Moon" cast was revealed, including "Twilight" newcomers Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen as members of the "legendary Volturi, a venerable coven of vampires who weigh and impose the laws of the vampire world."

More cliff diving set photos + story

This set is where they are filming the special effects green screen scene of Bella’s Cliff Dive in La Push in New Moon. Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre, Taylor Lautner, and Rob Pattinson were all filming at the secret outdoor pool location today (just for the one day).
The crew had set up a complex special effects scene at the public outdoor pool with a number of layered green screens set up high above the pool. They also used a number of cranes and rigs to help block out the direct sunlight (it was bright and hot today).
Security was tight again, and no one could see into the pool, but fans saw Taylor Lautner who came out to sign autographs and take photos. When Amy and I got there, we saw Kristen Stewart walk into the pool set shielded by umbrellas from fans.
Overall it looks like a really cool set! Kudos to the crew for rigging up such a complicated set. My guess would be they filmed some footage in Tofino of the cliffs, and are going to composite it into the water scenes here at the pool.

Stephenie Meyer Is Not Being Sued

There are a lot of things I should be doing updates on—for example, how awesome and successful the Book Babe event was, and how cool it was to meet all the other authors and hang out with them a little bit, and how much I appreciated all the tremendous support from the fans—but instead of commenting on happy things (which I admit I should have done a week ago; I was waiting for things to slow down for a day, silly me!), I'm commenting on ridiculous internet rumors so that my publicist's day will be just a little bit better.

I am not being sued. No one has contacted me or my publisher to inform either of us that I'm being sued. I never had a roommate named Heidi. There is no professor in the BYU English department named Dr. Peter Benton (though there is a character on ER by that name). And most of all, I began writing Twilight exactly the way I've told people in countless interviews and events for the past six years: I had a cool dream, I wrote it down, writing it down was really fun, so I kept writing until I had a whole book.

The sad thing about this silly situation is that so many legitimate news outlets reported it without doing any research at all to determine if there was any truth to the story. And at least two of these facts are really, really easy to confirm. Particularly, the one about the BYU professor. A simple on-line search can give you that information. Also, a quick call to my publisher would have cleared up the whole lawsuit story. (Kudos to the fansites who did their due diligence and debunked this rumor days ago.)

I guess the moral of the story is that—big surprise—you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Seems like it's April Fool's Day every day on-line. So no worries, the filming of New Moon continues uninterrupted. And, to end this on a bright note, the filming of New Moon continues to be awesome. It's all so beautiful! Chris Weitz is brilliant. Kristen, Rob, and Taylor are beyond words. I have gotten choked up more than once on set due to their amazing performances. I can't wait to see it all put together!

Among wolf pack job requirements: the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.

"It's not pleasant for the actors," says director Chris Weitz. "But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, 'OK, off with the robes.' "

was he even officaly asked to play jacob at some point? cause the "appealing" factor that seems to be lacking in the wolf pack is all over him in my opinion. And it would have been much more fair to have him and rpatzz competing for a girl's love than rpatzz and taylor( although taylor is looking fine now and props to him for all the hard work in order to keep being jacob)
