kellan is pretty much how i pictured emmett, im still a bit so and so with the rest of the cast (excluding edward, bella, james + victoria) but extremely optimistic nevertheless. filming starts in a little more then a week! i cant wait to see the cullens transformations

I wonder why he wasnt interested? If all books are made, he could've made a lot of money & had good exposure.

It probably had to do with the fan base. Wild guess but I'm assuming he's interested in more adult projects since I think Twilight is targeted for teenagers and young adults. I heard the film was going to have a more (young) adult base? I wonder what it's going to be rated.

^ Yeah I figured. However, movies like Spiderman and Harry Potter have a supposed young/ 'less-adult' type audience/fan-base but actors like Gary Oldman & Alan Rickman do them because of the different market/exposure. I don't know, something annoyed me the way it said he wasn't interested, as if it wasnt good enough for him. I mean, he was in that awful, joke a movie Tristan & Isolde. Pot calling the kettle much?

^ Yeah, that definitely rubbed me the wrong way, too. The way he said he's just not interested. Dear Henry, you're pretty, it's true. But you're not at the level of stardom where you can say what scripts you're not interested in. He should've just said he had other projects lined up.

Whoa i missed a ton over the weekend!!!! im excited again that girls story was cool and i hope make-up will do wonders for nikki too. The guy they casted for jasper was great and lutz is also good for emmitt.

Bad career move for Henry if he only knew what he passed up on. This movie is easily goin to make over 100mil. I bet he turned it down bc he related it to stardust and the box office bomb that was

Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz Join Cast of the Thriller Romance

Los Angeles, CA February 19, 2007 — Summit Entertainment announced today that it has rounded out the cast of the Cullen family in the first installment of its filmed franchise, TWILIGHT. The family of vampires, to which the leading male character Edward Cullen belongs, will be comprised of actors Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

"Finding six talented actors who can portray supernaturally beautiful, talented vampires of the sort Stephenie Meyer has created and her fans have come to know and love was not an easy task but we are happy to say we have found our perfect Cullen family," said Erik Feig, Summit's President of Production.

The credits for the actors comprising the Cullen family include popular film and television titles. Peter Facinelli (THE SCORPION KING, RIDING IN CARS WITH BOYS) just completed work on the critically acclaimed first season of Damages. Reaser had roles in the comedy THE FAMILY STONE and has been seen on the hit TV series Grey's Anatomy. Rathbone was seen in PRAY FOR MORNING and also appeared in the TV series The O.C. Reed also played a role on The O.C. and also has been seen in LORDS OF DOGTOWN. Greene has been seen in both Shark and Crossing Jordan. Lutz appeared in ACCEPTED and the HBO series The Comeback.

Facinelli is represented by Paradigm and James/Levy Management. Rathbone and Reed are also represented by Paradigm. Reaser is represented by UTA. Greene and Lutz are represented by Innovative Artists.

WHOA i am amazed!!!!! Edward and Emmitt are spot on casts. Peter F surprised me in this photo he also looks good. Esme is alright there are more strikngly beautiful women they could have chosen. Alice was not what i expected but can pass. Jaspers hair looks too fake or something is off if that gets fix he is also is good. Nikki looked horrible no one would have pictured rosalie looking like that

They're not posters, just promotional images! I hope the next few batches will be better considering this is the first set but who knows

URGHHH!!! I'm sorry, but Nikki makes a bad Rosalie, I just can't believe how this is making me feel. I should be happy that Twilight will be a movie but I feel disappointed.

Esme looks too old, Emmett looks so bland! I pictured him with Tom Welling hair, with a square jaw and basically...hot.

I'm not going to comment on Robert.

Also, if theyre promotional images, they could've at least made an effort with the clothes! The Cullens are supposed to be well versed in high-fashion but they look like a bunch of bums at a ski-resort

They are definitely going to get better. First promo pics are always kind of blah. Remember, they've yet to come out with official posters where it'll actually say TWILIGHT on them. That's when they'll start looking perfecto with dig effects, imo! Overall, I think the cast is good. They're definitely growing on me, anyone else? However, I was expecting Rosalie's hair to be lighter than urine orange. But! It'll do.

I love Jackson Rathbone, but that hair on his character (Jasper) is absolutely terrible.

Edward, Carlisle and Emmett look great, but the rest is just very very bleh. Neither Esme nor Rosalie look beautiful AT ALL and the styling for Jasper and Alice is just off. The hair, oh my... None of them look like the extraordinarily beautiful creatures I expected. I know there are no perfect humans, but couldn't they have a put at least a little more effort into this?

May I add that Jasper reminds me of some crazy scientist à la the guy who created Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) in the Batman movie?
