Two Tone Hair

^ Agreed. Drew isn't pulling it off very well. I think a two-toned hair color should look natural.

papa. your hair reminds me of keira's. so pretty

Thank you. My inspiration is Michelle Philips of The Mamas and the Papas. ^_^

I so love this look. Totally want to do it to my hair, but I'm not sure it would work with my colour red? What do you think?

After getting some baaad highlights I went straight to a different hairdresser & I'm loving two tone!

I desperately want my hair done like this but finding a salon is a problem. Who does this in the Glasgow/Edinburgh area? The girl at the hairdressers said I need to give dying a rest as my hair is quite dry and damaged. :(

I would like to have my hair like this. I have blonde hair already and I'd like a change, what does everyone else think?

I think that it´s very important to have in mind your base colour when trying this look.

If you go from your natural colour (brown) to some lightness on the ends (caramel, honey, blondish) it´s perfect cos your growth will go unnoticed. (For instance MeganClaire). Also if you go from darker blond to a lighter ash or golden blonde (For instance Cameron Diaz)

But if you are already lightening your base colour and you get lighter ends....and you neglect to keep up with the base colour, it´ll look quite weird, because you´ll end up with roots...TWICE!:yuk:The exact opposite of this easygoing and natural look.

I don´t know if I´m understandable on this.
I think this look is best when you start from your natural color as a base. It could be done with an artificial base colour and some lighter ends, but this would be tricky and EXTREMELY high maintenance.

Cameron's hair looks unnatural. In the first picture, the hair color changes at the middle of her face, and it just looks awful. -_-

I'm thinking of getting this done- I think I'll take lily aldridge's picture when i go to the hairdressers! Does anyone know if it will work on hair that's already been highlighted? I am a brunette and already have two shades of blonde done via foils and have about an inch of regrowth- will they just paint over more of the blonde at the top- sort of like fade out my natural colour so that there's more of that covering the blonde...?

Or will they have to dye the whole lot brown and then paint on free hand blonde at the bottom which seems a waste of existing blonde if you ask me! Anyone? :)

this is my hair. it is really more than 2 toned, but thought i would post. any ideas on how to make my reds and coppers be more vibrant? thanks:flower:

Cameron Diaz looks so orange in that first pic it hurts my eyes

Looks like a lot of you girls are giving the two tone look a try. I really need to find someone that can do it on my hair, too. I'm so tired of my boring hair at the moment.

Yeah I agree, but it might just be the lighting. IMO her hair looks pretty good in the 2nd picture:blush:
