Natural hair glossing

color glosses are my best friend

i naturally have a curly blackish brown afro and with the black color gloss i use at home i end up with a super shiny deep ebony afro and my coils are a bit smoother, i use to use gloss drops but adding that to my routine when i already use leave-in conditioner and styling lotion is a bit much, plus the gloss makes my hair shinier without any producty feel or buildup

I wear black malva conditioner from Aveda, I can use it every week to highlight my black hair, and it makes it very very glossy, but leaves horrible stains on your hands, and wearing gloves its such a hassle
Thankyou ! I can tell I'm going to get obsessed with this now. :p

O used the john frieda stuff a few times now. My hair is shiny but its softer as well. It isn't as shiny as I hoped it would be though, but I was wanting a really really high gloss glass like shine.

Where can I get hold of the Sebastian colourshines in clear in the UK?

I have tried.. :( But they only have colours and I'm really into natural hair colour.

oh do they work?

I am a redhead and want to up my colour but not actually dye it so I am considering this.
Have any redheads tried anything they really like?

I've used Aveda Black Malva conditioner as a hair color/shine in the past and I worked pretty well. I also used the red conditioner. My hair color is dar brown with natural light brown/red highlights so it showed up really well. I dont like my highlights because my roots are so much darker when we dont get a lot of sun. I used it on dry hair, plastic cap, blow dyer and rinse.

It is a big mess though. Definitely, use gloves, don’t be in a hurry, protect your bathroom, nice towels, etc.

For a quick fix, I like PUREOLOGY DRY SHINE a lot

At CVS...
I have tried it in Red for red hair and didn't think it really worked...
just made my hair a bit softer and maybe a tiny bit shinier.

I don't know how good the clear is, I used brown. It is quite good. I got it at Boots. Is the red no good then? I am having my hair dyed on Saturday and was going to buy some.

There is a new gloss called Clairol All That Shine. You can get it at CVS/Wal-Mart etc. It's fabulous. WAY better than JF Colour Glaze.

^ I have seen that I think...
I just might have to try that then.
Is it done like a regular hair dye or in the shower like the JF one?

are you talking about Clairol Shine Happy? I used that last week and it was decent, and I've gotten remarks on how shiney my hair is, but I don't really notice it all that much.

Does the John Freida one change your hair colour at all? Because I have Brown hair with highlights, so im not sure which colour I would use because I want my highlights to remain

^It doesn't change your color, but if I were you, i'd go for the shade of the highlights when you buy the product.

I really want to try the L'oreal casting cremé gloss. It's not completely natural, but without ammonia. I tried the red before and it looked good. Later on I used lightbrown and my hair became black with a blue glance. I was soooo unhappy with that. They promised to send me a new one, but I'd only want it if the glossy chocolats version would be available in Holland. And it isn't. I hope it will come though. I so like the chocolat color.. But don't know anyone in France who could send it to me. Scks..
