Uggs

I wear Uggs 'cause I think they're comfy and they add a lil somethin' to some of my outfits. I don't care if they're "so two years ago". Comfort never goes out of style.

I think if Uggs are worn for comfort and convienence, there's nothing wrong with them. Worn as a status symbol (why????) or fashion statement (again, why????), it's simply ridiculous.

I just digged my UGGs out of the closet and wear them around the house when no one's around. Super comfy. I don't think they're all that great for super-cold weather, though. I remember freezing half to death in my cold wet UGGs a couple of years ago

i understand that uggs are meant also for warmth and comfort during the winter [it gets real cold up here] but arent there similiar boots that offer that same warmth and comfort without that &180 price tag? or is it really worth it? because i was thinking of the new uptowns or just the classics..thanks

I agree with Madame X, at this point no one should be wearing them to make a fashion statement. What I dont get is why people are so embarrassed to say that they where uggs? They are comfortable, warm, and make you feel good. Not all things worn have to look super trendy, or better yet super original. If people choose to wear their uggs with a juicy hoodie, then so be it. I find that the juicy velour suits last longer than the ones from victorias secret or the other stores that sell the same stuff. Uggs are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, whether cute or not in style or not. Its ridiculous how people get all crazy about not wearing uggs. I think that at times comfort comes first. The girl that started this thread was not looking for smart comments, she was asking for an honest opinion, and if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. Im sure she heard everyone bash uggs in other threads, now get over it.

They're on sale all over the place so they're not always that expensive. I bought some for a ski vacation and they worked well enough. Would I have paid $180 for them at full price? No way.

That said, I typically go for fashion AND comfort --unless you're skiing or in a super cold climate, I just don't see the point. Sorry.

uptowns

i actually just got 2 pairs of uggs for xmas. i got the pink slippers and the teal uptowns. i was definately one of those "anti-ugg" girls until i finally tried my friend's classics on! they are so comfy. also, i like the uptown design a lot better, they're way more flattering.

today i wore them w/ a denim skirt, leggings, and a hoodie (a JUICY rabbit fur one, haha). i don't think they're fashionable, just a good boot for comfort and warmth.

Ooh, you could wear those Uggs with a knockoff LV bag, a tattered mini, and a hot pink Juicy hoodie! (Excuse my sarcasm and sell them to some sucker on E Bay. They're over.)

I would only wear UGGS when they weren't trendy or fashionable because too many people wear them, and maybe if I was in a cold cold place or a ski resort I would wear them, then you have a point of wearing them..

Sure its okay to not like uggs, but you don't have to be so rude about it...just because someone likes uggs does NOT make them "unfashionable" or a "bad" person. K ? And wtf is wrong with Juicy hoodies they're just PLAIN SWEATSHIRTS.

Jesus....and they're not 'over' everywhere. Here in southern CA they're VERY in.

I think they're ugly and still I wear them.

Why? They keep my feet warm... I don't wear them all the time but if I hadn't had mine back when I had my toe joint inflammation, I would not have been able to go outside. They were the only pair of shoes my swollen foot would fit in. And they're comfy.

They're ugly still... but my friend on the other hand thinks they're cute. For me, their functionality counts

yeah I definately didn't wear them when they first came out. But I enjoy wearing mine when I travel or just schlepping around. I also enjoy wearing them to the office under dress pants because it's freezing and i don't want to wear my work shoes in. Plus they're black which I enjoy. Just me though.

i totally agree... i've always thought uggs were ugly but i recently bought one cos i desperately needed something for boston weather... and gosh i've been wearing them almost everyday whenever it gets cold out there... yeah i think they're ugly make my feet look super swollen but gosh it's so warm, comfy and won't get ur feet wet walking in the snow... there was one time my friend got sick of me saying how good n comfy it is and that guys should get them too(as a joke!!! ) he carried me n dropped me in a pile of snow n guess what? yeah my sand boots looked wet n i smacked him but after a few mins they're back to dry! gosh i just can't get enough of it!!!

I love uggs. They're comfy and I love wearing them with jeans...Well that's just my opinion on them.
