Uggs

Always in when you want to be comfortable
I used to hate them too until I tried them
They are the most comfortable thing for your feet

Sorry, but when there is 8 inches of snow, I'd rather have warm feet and dry jeans. That's why I wear 'um. Not so much for the style, but the convinience.

I agree! I live in Canada, and honestly when its the dead of winter and -15 degrees celcius I need to keep my feet warm. Uggs might be "out" but they keep my feet warm and I can tuck in my pants so the bottoms don't get soaked. Also, you need to wear flats when it snowy/icey outside. I'm not going to stumble to school in stilettos for the sake of fashion- I'd probably slip and break my ankle!

Yeah I live in Canada too and those are my exact thoughts.
Whenever I had the bright idea to wear something else then uggs I regretted it because my pants got wet and dirty at the bottom, I was uncomfortable and slipping on ice. So until it gets warmer around here, I will continue wearing my uggs.

My Uggs are well-loved - they're perfect for trekking to and from lectures at uni. I have been known to throw them on over my pyjamas for midnight trips to the library on campus...ahh so warm and comfy.

I live in Winnipeg and I REFUSE to wear Uggs. In fact, I stay quite warm and dry with double socks and some boots I got from Cole Haan.

The other day in London I saw a girl wearing uggs with leggings and a baggy jumper. As much as I'm sceptical about leggings in general, it actually looked quite good. :ninja:

Uggs for winter? /

Hey

Are Ugg boots meant to be worn in the snow? Or are they just for summer in LA (lol).

I'm moving to Quebec, Canada for University and I need some good knee-high-in-snow footwear. Any ideas?

Thanks!

 Olivia

^ Are you going to Laval? :woot: I'm going there too next year ^_^

Anyway, I live 2 hours from Québec (city, not province) and I wear them. People in my town were too cheap / had no knowledge of Uggs so most of them wore knockoffs, mostly from Aldo. But I wear them in the snow, they are great for cold weather  I also wear sneakers or whatever, even when it's -20°C hehehe.

I live in New York, and I practically live in UGGs during the wintertime here. It gets ridiculously cold, and I'm a college student who walks all over campus, so the boots suit my needs well. They're very warm, so I'm sure they'd be great for you with the weather up in Canada :)

in snow?

Thankkks, question though, are they okay to wear in the snow? Won't they get wrecked?

Uggs are for any time and any where when you are feeling cold, lazy or tired (so, naturally, I am in mine often :flower:)

olivia - I've worn mine out in the snow, and they do get wet with quite a bit of rain/snow, and they take about a day to dry. There's a protectant spray you can purchase for the boots, but they're not a godsend product where the shoes become invincible. If you wear them out in the snow often, I'm sure the color will begin to get spotty and whatnot. These shoes are perfect for those dry, winter days and not so much for a blizzard.

I'm begging you, no Uggs. Anything but uggs. Rubber rainboots with 3 layers of wool socks if you have to.

The weather in Canada isn't as extreme as people say. You DO get used to it. In fact, global warming is making it much warmer here. Trust me, I live in Winnipeg. Coldest city in the whole of Canada.

Invest in a heavy duty coat, wool socks, and plenty of cute sweaters. Canadians are the best at looking fashionable in the freezing cold.

I do not recommend uggs either, they get wet wet wet if you wear them in the snow, no matter how much protective spray you put on them. Get a pair of real winter boots instead.

I would suggest KHOMBU boots. Uggs are way too ugly for my taste, no offense anybody:flower:
