What is the aesthetic pleasure of Ugg's?

Has Alaskan housewife chic become de rigeur?

Wow! That sounds so iggnorant! Do you say these things out loud in public?

I personally do not like them. If you do, then sure wear them. I have seen way too many knock-offs, though. Oy. Very tired of them.

My friend told me she wanted Uggs today and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "No!". She tried to convince me they were going to be everywhere this fall. I begged her not to get them. I really hope she doesn't.

I'm wearing mine this year for sure because:
1. Trends travel sloooow in Minnesota.
2. It's Minnesota. (20 below, anyone?)

It's just practical for me!

Well, that's where my friend is from/spends her summers. Hmm..

well thats it then  I'm a fellow Minnesotan even worse (in fashion respects) I hail from North Dakota.. soo yes.. it's not so much the ugg trend will catch on late rather it will not catch on.. Risking sounding silly I like that about here, the sensibility of the upper midwest is comforting in a way to me.. :flower: :ninja:

It's not so much ignorant as a personal opinion. I can understand their intentions to wear velour, and all that. But it's just so much an aesthetic mishap. And people will agree.

Sometimes I do voice those opinions out loud.

Pointup it is just catching on here too.

The other day I saw a little girl (7-8) wearing what looked like a pink ugg boot with white fuzzy stockings a denim skirt and jean jacket the look was cute. *IMO* I don't think anyone older than 12 could pull it off though.

I just bought these cute pink Uggs and I am not sure what to wear with them or how to wear them. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks
Nikki

i would just wear jeans.....no, not tucked under them..just folded over top of them so it looks like ur wearing a pair of normal shoes

I wear mine with jeans tucked in, jeans over top and with knee-length skirts + woolly tights in the winter.

jeans tucked into the boot or mini skirts is pretty much how you can wear them to fall into the trend, but what i've heard some people whisper is that they're going to start wearing uggs as their "transition" shoes. like from the home, on the metro, into the office, then break out into a show-stopping pair of choos.

Some people say there not instyle, but for people who live in cold climates (East Coast & Canada) they are practical and fashionable....

You can pair them with jeans (tucked or not tucked)
You can roll up your jeans with them
You can wear skirts with them

See, this is alright. Knee length skirts and wool tights signify that it is cold outside, hence a reason behind the uggs. But please, for the love of god, do not wear them with a t-shirt, miniskirt, and bare legs.
