Uggs

personally, i love uggs. but i dont match them with the usual miniskirt and t-shirt like many girls have. they're just casual shoes i wear with casual things. for example, i'll usually pair them with plain bootcut jeans and a sweatshirt. no biggie

I love them with a great pair of very fitted jeans (Levi's are still my fave!) and a cute tee. you don't want to wear anything that competes with the Uggs. ;)

I :L: my uggs. But I have never really worn them out, just to pick up a video or drop someone off etc..

I usually just wear them with: a tracksuit or on top of jeans and a sweater/hoodie!

lets not replace one evil with another :innocent:

btw, to the original poster: I do not think that Uggs are horrible like a lot of people here do, I have a few pairs and I am sure when it is like 15 degress out in the middle of february I will be bringing them out. However--please understand that they are not a fashion statement, they are purely an extremely comfrotable, warm shoe to throw on with a sloppy pair of pants when you have to go out in freezing weather for some reason. And no matter what you do--no skirts.

...actually my niece (1 year old) wears her UGGs (yes she is a proud owner  ) with big tights and a skirt. :innocent:

Actually, little kids (3-8 yrs old) look SO CUTE in Uggs. :P

Id wear them when I'm cold and want comfort...not to be "stylish" in the middle of freaking summer with a mini like the girls here do

Worn with fitted jeans tucked in and probably a huge jacket when I'm up in the mountains.

I don't think my heels would do anygood in the snow you know.

Hmmm. I have 2 pairs of uggs, the black presidios, the ultra tall chestnuts, and a really cute pair of "LOVE" brand sheepskin booties in pink that I bought from T.J. Maxx for @29.99 over the summer. Being in California, (and yes, it does get cold enough here to wear them!), I have worn all of my sheepskin boots with cropped denim. I don't like to wear them under regular jeans, they seem too plain, and you can't even see them! I usually wear them with cropped denim jeans, and anything on top, a tank, polo, hoodie, ski vest, denim jacket, and whatever I do, I always make sure that my clothing is fairly fitted, to balance out the puffiness of the boots. I also like to wear a scarf with uggs, just to balance out the look. I hope this helps you! Oh, and btw, I haven't the nerve to wear them with a skirt at all.

I have to agree on the fact that they're comfy and great to wear on a cold day.

They'd probably be neat if all fashionistas downtown stopped considering Uggs their cult item.

I actually own 3 pairs, classic tall black, classic short lilac (daring I know), brown ugg clogs and Sundance II short in chestnut and I had another pair on backorder in Sundance II tall in brown but I decided to cancel the order, I was getting a little ahead of myself, next year I'll probably hate them. I also agree they're not the most attractive boots but they get the job done out here in NY.

At first I resisted buying them a year ago but when the 1st snow storm came in 03 I ran to the store and I guess everyone had the same idea b/c the store was a mad house and girls were fighting for Uggs. The funny thing is when I got to the store they were sold out and when I finally given up hope, I found a pair in my size stashed in the corner, tried them on and paid.

NEVER WEAR WITH MINI SKIRTS! I only wear them with cargo's & jeans, tucked in or out but only if the boots are short and not tall, looks like you're trying to hard. :brows:

really? how do you wear them without looking dumb? i've seen them tucked in which looked a little too 'oh, oh look at me i'm trendy i'm wearing uggs!' also seen left out but that just makes your feet look ginormous.

. . . and anyway you go in texas there still gonna look like the statement above. sooooo sick of the sororitiy girls around her parading around with the fake louis and von dutch tshirts and trucker hats and reflecting lense sunglasses. haha i was pissed about a test one day and when i was walking to my car there was this girl wearing the same outfit and she was talking realy loud. i think i said something along the lines of 'von dutch was over in summer of 03 and the ugg trend died last winter, and just because the majority of people here don't know what a louis vuitton is doesn't mean i dont so do yourself a favor and get a real one cuz if you were to go into the city, you wouldn't be fooling anyone.' -- it was a really bad white murakami fake.

but then again i have the clogs -- but i swear i only wear em when its below 50 degrees and heading to class in scrubs!

i used to think uggs are REALLLY ugly, but recently, i've found that i actually want to buy a pair! Are they actually that ugly?
I have a japanese magazine on boots and it was showing some mdels wearing ugges with socks.. somehting like this:
http://neenermd-fashion.buzznet.com/user/?id=139634

what do u think of this look?

Uggs.... uggly....

It doesn't do anything for me. I think uggs are silly. But hey, style is personal. If you like the way they look, make it work! It's up to you.

i dont like it.. but it looks OK i guess..
not for me, but if u can pull it off...
if you like the look, go for it.. :flower:

i own a pair of short ruby uggs and im not ashamed of them..
people can say whatever they want to say
i like them bc they are soooo comfy + warm
they are my winter-flipflops

I think that they are really ugly, i don't know what it is about them, but they just seem so ridiculous to me.

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing that you can do to make Uggs attractive! I don't care if you add socks, or a 2" wide solid gold ankle bracelet to them....they are the BIGGEST fashion faux-pas of the last 50 years!

P.S. Maybe I should have been more aggressive rather than "sugar-coating" my comments like I did.

Uggs should ONLY be worn when necessary. Like during a snow storm , or blizzard.

Not in 90 degree weather- poor piggies most have some odor

Well they suit icy conditions better than stilleto heels I'd imagine :P

But (and this is only my opinion) they still look bad, especially those ones with these metal buckles on them  :yuk:

But hey, if someone likes them, then why not?
