THE NEW LOUNGEWEAR, shot by Alan Clarke, is a rather somble 10 pg underwear shoot, where Pania Rose @ Next wears nude shades of separates in a dingy hotel-style location. Occasionally the silhouette of a camera intrudes into the shot, as if to add some sort of cinematic atmosphere. It doesn't, and I'm not impressed, either by the clothes or the scenario. 1 image attached.

A LIGHTER TOUCH is a quirky 10 pg take on spring fashion, shot by Valerie Phillips, with Marloes @ Union looking cute in a variety of Japanese-themed backgrounds - not surprising, as it's shot in Tokyo. 2 images attached.

LINDSAY BITES BACK is a 6 pg recycled feature from US Elle.

Beauty:
There is no beauty edit! Just a lot of product shots.

Overall:
January issues are always as skinny as the models inside them, so the lack of content comes as no surprise. I don't mind the cover; I'm a lover of red, and that particular shot of Lindsay makes her look young and brash, without looking sl*tty.

I'm really disappointed that they are using a re-print. I can understand the Elle's of the world with smaller circulations doing it, but to me this just feels like laziness.

The actual picture which they have chosen isn't too bad, at least it's eye catching. I like it better than the cover which they used in the US.

Elle is always good at changing my mind about the celebrities they feature!! Although Lohan used to really annoy me, after reading this her feistyness has made her grow on me and I respect her a lot more. I think before I didnt like her cos I was a bit jealous or didnt understand her or something?! Apart from that, the issue was OK but overpriced and I read it pretty much in an hour.
