UK Vogue November 2012 : Jennifer Lawrence by Alasdair McLellan

Pretty Girl, Looks good one the cover...Just wondering why her?

There's a rumour she'll be nominated for Academy Awards again, for Silver Linings Playbook. And she has a couple of promising movies to come.

All her peers (kristen, emma watson, emma stone, rooney mara etc) all have Vogue covers, so why not her?

For some reason she really grates on me. Like, she thinks she's better than others. I also don't find her that pretty tbh.

With that said, this is probably her best cover to date.

Surprisingly good...American Vogue will probably put Jennifer on next year for her Oscar campaign. I'm guessing March cover.

I really like this. She looks beautiful. Anyone know who the outfit is by?

Maybe I'll feel different about the cover once I see it in actual print because right now it's not doing much for me. I like the styling, there isn't much to say though really except from the fact that I feel something is missing.

I think she's lovely, but I get the feeling that putting her hand on her hip is her comfort pose in front of the camera, and while I find her physically beautiful, it's in a passive sense, I don't get much energy from her magazine images. This cover shot is probably going to be gorgeous when we see it for real, but I don't know how compelling it will be.

^ You couldn't be more any more right, I think that's what's missing for me, the lack of energy, I'm feeling slightly drained by just looking at her, not what's needed for this time of the year in my opinion but who knows maybe it will be more compelling when we see it for real.

Seeing it in HQ makes me a bit annoyed with the text placing of the "O". It kinda ruins the beautiful flow of the hair.

Guessing since the HQ cover is on the website, subscribers will get it tomorrow?

I'm really enjoying this cover. The continued use of Alasdair McLellan is really one of the best things Vogue UK has going for it right now, IMHO.

I love the simplicity of the cover. She's such a natural beauty.
I also love that it doesn't look overly photoshopped - it's so nice to see her freckles!

the gradient background which makes it amateur.
