My mom went to Uniqlo for the first time ever recently (back in Chicago) and went nuts for the Lemaire stuff (and the reasonable price points). It's like her new thing now.

they do manage to transcend age, and even gender, at times...
it's smart design...

^^ So funny, my mom is also a Uniqlo convert, she gets more excited about going there than going to Saks (a former favorite).

I am pretty hooked on their basics, too.

I took my mom to the one on 5th avenue; she likes the Chicago one better. They all look the same to me....

Over the winter, picked up:
Extra-warm heattech leggings
Heattech skinny cords
Heattech knee length socks in the cutest colors
Fleece-lined wind-breaker type pants in black and army green (perfect for Chicago)
Lemaire knit skirt and sweater in black
Merino cardigan from the men's department in dark green


And most recently, the perfect sun hat that fits my gigantic head and completely shades the face.


Has anyone tried their home products, specifically their towels?

I tried a couple pieces of the Lemaire stuff: the seersucker top (way too much fabric - I looked pregnant) and one of the cotton long shirts (the fit was off and the material was just too thin for my liking). So I didn't end up with anything unfortunately.
