US Elle September 2006: Lindsay Lohan

I received my subscription yesterday(first time in life the magazine came in time). Like everybody said, the covor is among the worst in history. Just want to warn you that the real thing looks even worse.:yuk:

the content though is so much better than a regular Elle. The shopping report is very interesting to read, and I'm a little tempted to visit the Yohji Yamamoto boutique in soho. I have not finished reading the magazine, so I can't say more about it...but basically it's a fair magazine but totally ruined by Lindsay Lohan...

she sounds soo stupid in this interview from what I have heard....she is so hungry for attention! like going to the ivy...we all know you just go there to get your picture taken lindsay so stop trying to act annoying when there is a crowd of people around you.....and also I just heard on the tv that she said when there aren't any paparazzi she feels weird because it seems like no one likes her anymore, or something like that. so basically I get the impression that she lives for the paparazzi and needs attention 24/7.

What the... heck... ugly cover. She just doesn't pull off that awful. Not sure I know who could... ??

whoa! Lindsay sounds even more unintelligent than I had previously thought! And eww. Bad cover. Worse covergirl. She's so mangy! But I love the other editorial, the second one posted I think!

did any1 get the mag ? i 'm just so offput by the cover,i didnt get it even yet.i usually buy all september magazines, thick and nice:smile:
so is the issue worth looking at or is it boring a la lohan?what did you think?

I actually liked the cover ... :innocent: Her green eyes looked pretty and I like pink... thought the leather pants were a bit too much really!
But theres also so many nice ads with kate moss in the magazine!! I always get so magazine crazy when the september issues come out! *sigh* all the brand spaking new ads!! So exciting!

Really some wonderful editorials. If Elle was like this even quarter of the times... we can only wish... now, if Benisimon got hit by a bus... well, that's bad karma right?

Well now that's not a nice thing to say - especially in view of the two horrible highway accidents that just took the lives of models Heather Bratton & Audrey Lindvall. What is it exactly that some people dislike so much about Bensimon's work? Could someone please help me here?

And P.S.: Count me as one who's tired and disgusted with seeing nothing but actress, very often second rate actress on every Fashion magazine cover. Please bring back the models!!!

I am less then impressed with her editorial. Man, it hurts to even CALL it an editorial.

I do like her cover and editorial. She's doing a bombshell number and she does it well - in some ways she reminds me of a prettier, slimmer version of Janis Joplin (visually). As for her interview - she says somewhere there that she just says things that aren't true a lot of the time. Her interview seems a bit like a pre party acting feat - amusing...

Alright people! I bought the issue today and it took me about 2 1/2 hours to get through. I thought it was sa great issue other than Lindsay Lohan. She sounds so immature and whiny in the interview. There are alot of eds and they are all good in my opinion. Here's an overview of the eds.

Volume Control Ph. Enrique Badulescu, Models 2 utm-
Intrepid new proportions and exaggerated silhouettes add wit to the season's must-have coats and jackets.

Following Suit Ph. Steven Sebring, Model J.P-
Transgressive yet sophisticated menswear-inspired separates in refinedfabrics and fuller cuts arrive for fall.

The Shape of Things Ph. Lee Jenkins, Model 1 utm-
Fall's cinched waists, rounded hems, and chiseled sleeves recall the statuesque scale of classical sculpture.

Close Knit Ph. Gilles Bensimon, Model 1 utm-
Long sweaters paired with platform boots are theperfect formula for fall's knits looks.

Poetic Devices Ph. Ruven Afanador, Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley-
Silhouette defines this season- with dresses, capes and jackets in arresting shapes and richly dramatic fabrics.

Tate Modern Ph. Michael Woolley, Models Ciara Nugent & Agnieszka Wichniewicz-
A rebelllious spirit pervades fall fashion. To get the look, layer on a mix of eclectic prints and punk-inspired accesories.

Old School Ph. Gilles Bensimon, Modeled by artist Yi Zhou-
Multimedia artist Yi Zhou gets dressed in an unexpected mix of fall's jackets, kilts, and pleated skirts.

Urban Warrior Ph. Manuela Pavesi, Model Adrijana Dejanovic-
When military-tailored separates meet avant-garde accessories, the look is one part warrior and two parts bohemian.

I thought Lindsay came of bad in the interview...the writer really documented the struggle to talk to her and how rude she was at times as far as being late or not showing up at all. At least she had the balls to ask her about the rumored cocaine use.

i do not get the outfit from the cover at all. lindsay lohan needs to go away

Thanks for the review Jules! It still sounds like a great issue!

your welcome. i'm scanning the jp ed right now for anyone who wants to see it
