Julia Nobis by Collier Shorr (10 pages)

Mayowa Nicholas by Jody Rogac and styling by Samira Nars

Intrigued to see how Samira's tenure pans out, but judging by this cover, even with Liya, there's nothing to shout about. I'm most interested to see that Ludivine contributed with styling, but I'm not here for this very weekend supplement (not talking WSJ, more like Telegraph Fashion) vibe.

I personally find the cover sublime. Liya is one of those beauties that it would be hard to look bad even if she tried. I agree that sentiment that the cover can come across as ‘tired’
However I personally still find it beautiful nonetheless. I personally don’t just associate looking good with bright energetic or upward emotion. I find beauty can come in all forms with the right carrier and Liya IMO is one of them.
There are strength in sadness, tiredness, annoyance as well as in happiness, excitement and all the positive things
I don’t think the cover intentionally come across this way but I applaud they put wide range of humanity to the public.

I love love Liya and I am more than thrilled to see her cover Bazaar. What a welcome change! However, the covers and edit looks like Porter-reject.

Nice to see a model as the cover girl of US Bazaar, but i don't like it because the Liya's spread looks like a feature of Time Magazine.

All this screams shoestring budget but even something shot on pennies doesn’t have to be this boring. Where’s the creativity? And Collier? I thought that was a Radhika mistake but I guess the problem lied with Samira.

My love for Liya is untarnished though. I was hoping Edward would finally give her, her British Vogue cover but it’s nice to see her finally cover US Bazaar as well.

I got really excited when i first saw the thread title but the result was disappointing. Didn't like her expression and after Glenda's covers with major celebrities there's no way that this issue will sell well. Definitely not strong enough for a debut.

Liya Kebede is beautiful & is one of those models that in an alternative universe would have had many magazine covers if it wasn’t for celebrity over saturation in the 2000s. The problem with this cover is Liya is too diminutive in comparison to the text & background. Another example of taking a beautiful woman & making her ugly

What is that pose? She looks like a pregnant woman trying to deal with back pain.
This is exactly how I imagine Vogue Scandinavia - all natural, raw and sad.

Liya was an interesting choice but reading the editors letter it made sense so it's actually really touching.

Stoked to see Kaitlyn Greenidge as features director.
