US Harper’s Bazaar September 2021 : Beyoncé by Campbell Addy

If only she had brought Sasha Fierce along for the photoshoot.

Light on photos is terrible, but problem with Beyonce come from too control all own image.

What we need is Beyonce by Meisel and styled by Carlyne…But only Edward can make it happen.
And truth to be told, only Carlyne can brought a little bit of fun and sass to athleisure…

She accepted to do CRFB, which was quite different for her so why not?

This is what I expected from British Vogue and was let down. Beyoncé bent Anna and Edward to her will. I don’t think there anyone left to make her and Meisel happen given their egos. Maybe if it comes from her own stylist and she explains Meisel’s history.

I’m actually surprised she’s doing Tiffany’s, I wonder how that’s going to go, who will photograph it and how Beyoncé will add in her own twist to it since their campaigns are usually pretty clean and simple, far from Beyoncé’s usual photographs.

Styling with Carlyne is possible, I would love a whole video.

I believe she accepted CR since she was on good terms with the photographer, he had directed two of her recent videos at the time. That gave great results. She needs to let go at times, trust others to do their job, not everything needs to be a deep personal statement.

Yeah, this is exactly my feelings with her.... she was in good terms with Carine also i think u can see that on Carine's documentary. I know most celebrities are full on themselves but Beyonce is so obvious about it and not in a good way....But she is an answer to our times too, i mean that kind if attitude and she makes her clear her intention of being "someone" by advocating different causes in the most not organic way that it feels forced...i prefer the Beyonce of Destiny's Child or the one from her first album.

I'm wondering how they did The Gentlewoman cover and editorial...

The lighting in these photos...it's astonishing how far you can get these days without an inkling of photography skills.

Samira out here making me miss Glenda's tacky "fabulous at every age" uber-photoshopped choices that could be any month's cover (and of course UK Bazaar when it used to cater to women other than country estate owners) and I'm not sure if it's nostalgia, going senile or just being unable to accept the status quo for current fashion magazines.

I was already expecting bad. Beyoncé means usually destined to look cheap and tacky. She looked good one or two times, but she’s looked horrible about a thousand times more. She is a great dancer and entertainer, undeniable force of an artist, but I think there is no place for her in fashion. She lacks distinction, taste and refinement in her image - it is a fine social statement a la Black is King, Pretty Hurts, all the feminism and other things she does to get her $$$.
Sometimes no matter how great you are, you aren’t it for fashion.

Ivy Park is also ridiculous. Yet another nondescript fashion line that nobody cares about, polluting earth, paying so cheap those poor workers, while Beyoncé gets even more cash from her fans. It is same as Gaga, who I do love a lot. Girl, we didn’t need yet another make up line. Different package - same concept. Give way to some real fashion and stop pushing your tackiness to the masses.

Nice to see Elisa Santissi working.....so Shalom have two HB editorials (US and Spain) in the streets of NY....
