US Harper's Bazaar May 2011 : Lady GaGa by Terry Richardson

Elle had Gaga on the cover before Harper's and Vogue, so why wasn't Vogue desperate for having her on the cover after Elle?

Some of the comments in this thread are extremely laughable.

Those pointed cheekbones are yucky:sick: after seeing them in i-D already.
And also the multiple boobs are just ridiculous. That's not a Bazaar thing.
I personally don't want to see this girl in fashion mags anymore.

Vogue using Gaga never seemed desperate for me; it was a stab at something new for the magazine since they're not exactly known to stray toward the likes of her. US Harper's Bazaar meanwhile has been churning off the same deplorable covers for almost a year despite having a wider cover star range. and Gaga on this one looks like their final screech for attention.

so Terry is now the regular cover photographer for HB? Please somebody just send him to a deserted island somewhere, so we never have to see his lazy work again!

Also...Lady Gaga the Total Recall lady wants her extra boobs back :)

Well, he's the most high profile photographer HB has now, isn't he? Kind of sad, really.

I was expecting something that laughable when I read the tittle of the thread but turned out it's just okay, thou not really spectacular. GaGa looks soft here and her editorial is quite silly in a good way. Well this is such an improvements after Kim K and Countney's cover

The cover isn't anything special, but I feel it's still better than last Bazaar covers.

the editorial is stunning! i love the styling & terry richardson did that this go 'round.
sidenote: i love how when mcqueen does prosthetics it's groundbreaking & when gaga does it, some call it "ugly". just hating all around.

Love it, love it, love it! Lady GaGa + Terry is never a bad choice!

They need a new editor. Glenda's had how many years to turn the magazine around?

for some reason, Terry always makes people look incredibly old on their covers.
I know Gaga isn't that pretty, but still she doesn't seem to be featured at her best here.

Bad cover.

For someone who just wrote a song about accepting who you are, it's rather ironic that her nose has been altered. It's really obvious in this photo.

I like the editorial, but I'm not so keen on the cover now that I've had the chance to see a larger scan. It's the eyes, they're uneven and seem badly made-up. If I cover them on the screen with my finger, that particular shot instantly looks ten years younger, and more of a glamorous statement.

are the horns on the cover real implants or not?

I imagine they're the same prosthetics that someone in a sci-fi drama has placed on their face on a daily basis. On the cover shot, I like the way they add 'bone structure' to her cheekbones and shoulders, where she might not have the width otherwise.
