US InStyle October 2021 : Anya Taylor-Joy by Sebastian Faena

I know I am a broken record, but there really is something so bothersome about her. She always has this kind of strange pinched mouth smirk...

And I completely agree with others here who are complaining about the hair...not only is it not the right shade, it's also just too much hair. It's kind of obnoxious.

She definitely is risking overexposure. I'm not getting the feeling this is all happening organically or by demand...there's something kind of astroturfed about her sudden everywhere-ness.

She does actually look like the girls on ANTM that are more high fashion and photographs well but something basic about this editorial and its probably the styling. It's not really telling any story. The cover would be nice for Allure

Law Roach again?
Good God! And we wonder why magazines are dead? Actual stylists are no longer getting the prime spots. And for those who'd say I'm cherrypicking, not the case. Ken Paves is one of the main reasons why I couldn't stand Victoria Beckham's many covers.
I will never support a fashion cover styled by the celebrity's personal dresser. This should NOT be normalised. I actually see it as a form of censorship. Censorship of creativity! Because these celebrities only wish to be portrayed a certain way. Well if you don't like what a magazine's stylists are doing, then don't sit for the cover.

As for the cover, it's cheesy to the max and that shade of blonde doesn't suit her. The colour looks very fake and almost yellow. Like Lindsay Lohan during her wild years.
This!

One of the reasons people see/buy magazine covers is for them to give the celebrity a makeover.

Maybe the stylists don't get paid as he is her personal stylist....so it's a budget-relief for the magazine and they have the celebrity they want happy.

Too much retouch on the editorial...

But how much a stylist is paid this kind a job?
It’s not that much to do that king of things…

Another nice cover with Anya Taylor-Joy, like how impactful it is and will no doubt grab your attention on the newsstands (especially over Harper's Bazaar with Nicole Kidman). The colours are gorgeous, love the addition of the sunflowers and the cover overall reminds me of Porter.
